@qbasic16 exactly. Some just use it as a buzzword instead.
-
@Artemix yeah! I just hate people who use it wrongly to boost up their salaries. :/
-
It's not about the software. I use my own laptop.
At home, I just have a reaaaally comfy office chair, two monitors, and a mechanical keyboard.
The office doesn't have too much space for it I guess. -
I use neovim for any backend code.
Sublime for documentation.
Atom for frontend.
IntelliJ when I just want to read code and jump around. I do this when it's a project I don't know too much. -
@zareef Yeah. I've automated the teams logging, frontend css utilities, scrum logs, and breaks.
I'm just at the point where I want to do something that's public facing than scripts that only devs or peers can see. -
@uziiuzair oh. Like the dinosaur! I might try that in the next site I make.
-
When clients think I work for scraps. I remember P&G contacting me to make something for them.
When I asked for the budget, it's less than $200.
No matter how much we make build our personal brand, some who won't treat us seriously. 😑 -
@uziiuzair what do you mean by easter eggs though? :-?
-
@uziiuzair can't wait. I also posted an ideas repo of things I don't have time to make. I wish it had more traction for conversation. :D
-
@azous but alas, we saw it too late. There's so much work already merged from that commit.
We all thought the long git pull was just because of our internet speed, so we didn't really notice until it was too deep to fix. 😔 -
@pretz yes. I guess issues are the best way. :D
-
@uziiuzair sure! I'm having a friend design for the frontend tool, but my work scripts are on https://github.com/jaggy/...
I'd love to see some of your open source stuff too! :D -
@uziiuzair yeah. I'm running out of things to make. I made a small frontend compiler and small modules for auth and a cms. It's just kinda fun building things that not only devs you see, you know what I mean?
I even automated my office workflow where it sends to basecamp all my commits as logs, and messages skype the moment my laptop connects to the office wifi. -
@uziiuzair I honestly would love to but, I kinda want to go release small and plenty projects than work on something big without a release in months! 😁
-
@Elkstorm Honestly, I've never heard that one from anyone else. Weird. 😁
-
@furious the client wants a todo list. Just the list set by the company.
Point A
Point B
No logic, just preset information.
Our PM promised a routing TSP-esque system (which doesn't meet the budget mind you).
What annoys me is they overpromise without considering what the client actually needs, but they just want to impress to make a sale. -
Thanks! 😁
