What do I know through 🤷🏽♂️ I’m just going off the fact that they are less invasive privacy wise than Facebook and google. -
Not a good advert for digital ocean :giggle:
-
This is what it says for me "Hang tight, we’ll email you details about collecting your Hacktoberfest swag around October 21st."
-
@saucyatom password organisation goals 😍
-
@alexbrooklyn I use 1Password outside of work and it’s great. I haven’t explored the sharing of stuff on it yet though.
-
I hate this as well.
Also websites, please don't moan at me for using ad blocking software when your website is unusable without it. So many websites with more than 60% of visible space filled with adverts these days. -
@kamen this comment 🇯🇵 responding to OP though, being from the UK I always assumed that the German transport system was amazing. (The same can't be said about the UK, in my area anyway)
-
I kinda have the same issue, when I haven't got a super strict deadline that is.
Get yourself to a coffee shop, also my local University has passes for people who live local, University libraries are great for getting work done in. -
When programming, I usually listen to a game soundtrack playlist (which is awesome for concentrating.) also https://open.spotify.com/user/... is nice for programming, it's a mix of movie soundtracks etc.
-
The IE logo is the catchall of incapable browsers.😂
-
@dudeking yeah very incapable. I don't know if this is a thing but there is also an API cap?
-
My face
-
Don't look back, you done your part and left nice guidelines and codebase. Go enjoy your new job :)
-
One of my previous jobs had a rule about not eating at your desk. It was great, no food smells in the office, no crumbs and stuff on peoples desks and a great atmosphere in the kitchen area!
The idea of eating food while using my computer makes me shiver, oily keyboard and mouse ftl. -
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
The less you know, the more you think you know.
😂 -
@alexbrooklyn They are thirsty and need instant help, if I'm not here they'll wait for me 😰
-
A jab at us male programmers.

@Batburger I misinterpreted this as; content management system 👀
-
How does that company have any staff which such a horrible manager :O
-
tfw you spend more time making the app "kinda" work in IE than you did building the entire website.
-
I have the same problem!
I tend to just apply for the upper part of the salary range and hope. -
Sorry, but that sounds horrible. If it's an opportunity you can pass on, I would leave.
I worked in a similar role (albeit a few more opportunities to use modern tech) for the first few years of my career. I finally left and joined an agency which used modern tech (No more support for ie6 🙏🏼, which is ironic as the studio worked with Microsoft) In my early stages of this role I felt so inept because of my lack of exposure to modern tech and modern workflow paradigms. Being in that role prepared me for so much more opportunities and made work so much more enjoyable.
I would not stay in a role where the only path is the legacy software that they use.
At the end of the day, you want to leave work with a smile on your face and with the continued thirst of developing modern software. -
RIP games that you can pick up and play in the same evening.
Having to download a gb's on launch day is torturous and hype killing. -
No error messages. How is this working??
-
Poor guy. It's sad to see someone so enthusiastic about their job being put down by horrible clients.
Fortunately, I'm in the position where there is a manager sandwiched in between me and the client. I've heard horror stories of clients having slack access 🤯 -
Working as a dev puts you in the scope of knowing every single software solution (and version) apparently 🤦🏻♂️
-
@Noob they are real students. Think about how stakeholders see dev work as quick and easy. There is so much theory to design than devs/we know.
