Took the job! Although support isn't where I want to be, there is a lot of internal development that I'll be doing so it levels out for me 😄 I'm going to eventually transition to the engineering team once I know the product/business and become more marketable for the engineer position 👍

Update: The other candidate (with senior experience) beat me but I was strongly encouraged to interview with the support department (developers also). The end users are developers so I wouldn't be dealing with incompetent people (for the most part). Historically, joining the support department is a way to the engineering team for the company. I'm kind of in a pinch for a job but don't know that I want to do support... I've got some decisions to make 😅

I've actually written groovy for a grails app and actually enjoy it more than Java. So much less verbiage.

So Chrome uses more RAM than other browsers, so what? (assuming you're not running extensions, and the like, that may have memory leaks) Chrome uses RAM to do things that benefit the user that other browsers aren't doing, which IMO, separates it from other browsers. If you aren't maxing out your 16, 32, or even 64 gigs of RAM, then who cares?
