By myself, no formal training at all.

But if there's no female chicken you have to build one and fertilise it first.

Get into work at 9, check my emails in case there's anything urgent, reply, grab a coffee, plan out what I need to do today, headphones in playing some sort of rock / metal, random playlist, playing songs I don't know helps me concentrate as I'm less likely to "sing along" and it blocks out any distractions in the office, finally start coding at 11:30.
If there's anything that requires an urgent fix I tend to that sooner. -

Don't forget to use gulp to compile! -

How are you connecting to the remote repo? Is it a private repo from a third party? (GitHub)
If it's SSH you'll need to set up a new key pair so the user account on the server has access to the repo. -
Some people enjoy building Arch up themselves?
Never used it, but I guess it interesting to see how it works ubuntu is great too cuts out a lot of the low level stuff so you can get up and running quickly.
If you just want a prebuilt unix system that you don't want full control over get a Mac! -
I guess 5th December is the best the UK can hope for!
