Not empty, 00:00:00 is midnight.
Also function name indicates it will return a Time type, not String.
+ Date type doesn't contain any information about time ( contrary to DateTime type
+ name of parameter "dt" may be interpreted that it is DateTime after all(it isn't) -
Apex: System.debug("Marry Christmas");

It looks a little bit stressed...

@Jase Line Of Code.

@jonnyserra Neither I wrote that I don't appreciate my current job, nor that this is the worst thing.
It's just making me mad. While things you described were written by people who lacked knowledge and common sense - at least you have some kind of a logical reason. I can't see logical reason for writing comments like that, I'm just scared of what's happening in mind of a person that does that.
And for clarification,
@brod they weren't paid per line. @grimtar it's not a company policy.
I guess some people just like commenting things... -
That depends what are you doing there. Personally I don't think about my self as "bottom-feeding conmen", but I can understand what are you talking about.
I see several types of people there:
"I am developer but I don't understand the platform, so I write code that could be replaced formula, workflow, I'm hitting the limits and I hate SF" - it's almost as java developer trying to write JavaScript.
"I am junior that knows something about the platform but don't know how to code, so I write shitty code." - this I think is the biggest group, especially because demand for SF specialists is very high, and juniors are used as mid/senior developers.
"I know the platform, and I understand how to code, I can do more than simple business logic. Platform has a lot of cons, that make my life harder, but there are also some pros." - here we have group that is constantly shrinking since there aren't many challenging projects on SF, and good devs can change platform/language without a hassle. -
I would call one of them exception, just so I'm able to catch it.

Ctrl-why?

Why?

On desktop you've got devrant.io
Also it seems there is desktop app: https://www.devrant.io/projects
Anyway landscape mode would be much appreciated. -
Ouch.
-
Do two of the laziest devs happen to be seniors? ;)
-
@perlausten don't
-
If I'm working from home and have about 5m from my bed to my desk - so, no bike for me.
-
Look on the bright side, if he screw up, only ~100 people will be affected. If you screw up, [insert your user base here] will be.
-
@nateye update me when you're done if they were worth reading.
-
@jtdv so you've started your career as data analyst? Nice!
-
@jtdv that's uncommon. Care to share what project did you do?

JavaScript

I prefer paper, just because paper book will sit at the shelf, and I will be reminded by it every now and then to read it.
-
@Charmgoggles to be honest I prefer do first write tests ;)
Your approach might be ok if you have thought out every little aspect of your code. Even then is very likely that your code will change, therefore some of your comments will become irrelevant or wrong, and it is better (IMHO) to have no comments than misleading comments. -
I would replace happiness with suspiciousness...

Actually, that was my first requirement when I started my current job. My manager said that she doesn't like to works on Weekends as well, so right now Wednesday is last day in the week when deployment to production may happen in my company.
-
@juneeighteen although I didn't referred to running from you problems, it may be a thing - in that case as fat as you can!
-
@Oceas Why?
-
@rtannerf I've heard of Vmail which basically is gmail plugin for vim, and about mutt, which is command line email client, didn't have time to test them though.
@dayo why use anything other than Vim? ( and why don't you use vim mode in your IDE? ) -
@dont-panic Ah, a slight misunderstanding, I also like my coffee like my terminal bg.
Sugar should be taken separately, as a donut i.e. -
Add some sugar to the mix, so the caffeine has enough fuel to last till afternoon.
-
It's necessary not to "overcomment" too, yesterday I found a code in production which was basically returning true if x == y.
The code in three methods was 464 characters, (Don't ask me why or how) while comments on this "functionality" where 480 characters. -
@erickalves05 instead you will be sitting with your phone all day long? :p
