HTTP 1.1
status: 200
mesaage: OK
body: {
"success": "false",
"message": "error"

I want to intall a bare bones Linux set up with i3-wm. I'm looking at a Base antergos installation and continue to configure from there. Do you thing that this is a good place to start after using i3-wm on Ubuntu or would you recommend another distribution?
To add to it, the laptop ideally uses Nvidia Optimus2 -
What's the right thing to do as a junior dev when your boss acts too intimidating and gives you feel like you are unwanted?4

It's not motivation that you need, it's dedication.
You see, motivation is temporary thing, that sudden flow of dopamine running through your body that you get after some success or after being admired by someone or simply after good sleep and nice morning shower.
But the problem with motivation is that it's just temporary thing. After a while (hours, days, if you're lucky weeks) it just wears off and you're left pretty much where you started.
But there's one thing that remains and that's persistent. It's called DEDICATION. If you dedicate yourself to something, you are willing to do it no matter what it takes from you. Even if it frustrates you along the way or makes you angry, you wanna be able to say "It's finished. I'm satisfied with it" after you finish it. You are willing to crawl to the finishing line but no matter the obstacle, just knowing that you're getting closer to the finishing line is gonna motivate you. Your dedication is gonna become motivation generator. And that's the key. You need the passion and dedicate yourself to it.
But hey, sound simple but we all know the struggle. Sometimes it's even hard to recognize dedication from motivation. And sometimes you just go "Ok. Fuck it. I'm done" and leave it and that's okay AS LONG AS you get back to it after a while. As long as the inner you, the dedicated you that got you here in the first place, goes "Dude, it's tough. But it's alright, we refreshed a bit and now we're gonna fucking make it" (nope, I don't have schizophrenia) and you listen and get back at it.
Dedication is tough. It's about self control and understanding yourself deeply and balancing your mind. It's nirvana of success. It's the ultimate balance. But you can get there. If you want. Badly.
TL;DR You need dedication, not motivation. Punish yourself and reward yourself. Not too harsh and not too much. Just so that you don't lose track.
But most of all, GOOD LUCK YOU AMAZING FUCKS!5 -
Y'all are ranting about Microsoft GitHub when Apple decides to deprecate OpenGL support on macOS.

Gaming on Mac? Pah, Linux is where the fun happens.10 -
So I was asked to help migrate an application to AWS, asked for the codebase. Received a GitHub link in my mail (Usually is a zip file). Satisfied I open the link to see a repo with a hundred zip files time-stamped with version numbers
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?8 -
Getting a ticket that a feature is having problems when you triple-click it. Otherwise it works fine.
I'm so close to write them simply back: "Then don't fuckin do it?" -
Sometimes angular can be really damn annoying with it's "Error handling".
When just one component has an error (For example using an non-existent form-control) it'll not only crash the component like it should, but the entire app.
whyyyyy do you do this to me -
I would kill all these +1 guys, srsly. I subscribe these threads to know if it will be implemented.
You do not add any value to issue:
* devs are pissed off as this does not help solving problem
* others are pissed off
No one really cares about your likes, really.28 -
Disappointed to still see people arguing over languages, frameworks etc on here.
What you use is not what matters, it's what you do with it. -
im watching Zuckerbergs hearing in the eupa right now and i already want to punch Zuckerbergs face for his promisses to improve Facebook that should be standard in the first place.3

I am good as Front End developer, using JavaScript I can do the job, the whole job. Developing, Styling, designing and deploying the web applications is my daily job for few years now...
Today I quit my job for a new position as Back End developer using a new programming language I totally know nothing about it!!!
I am not sure about my decision... but I would like to take the risk....2 -
Social let's-help-female-programmers warriors piss me off.
The other day a massive email thread at work on how women are misrepresented in tech and how we need to help them and how using words such as "guys" is intimidating and generally patronising shit like "let's advertise jobs on websites like femaleprogrammers.com instead stackoverflow because there's too many white males on stackoverflow."
99% participants in this topic were guys.
One girl sent a message saying she doesn't want to be helped and she wants to know she has been picked for her skill and not filling in diversity numbers.
...would you believe she has been schooled on problems women in tech face by those lads too.
Like "woman, please... we speak diversity here"
So annoying....!!24 -
Is it that fucking hard to choose the right category for your fucking post?
My god all you need to do is fucking click on one of the lower buttons. If you are posting a meme don't tag it as rant ffs.
Please, for the sake of this community...25 -

Guys, calm down.
By the end of the month, GDPR will take place and the mails “should” have an end.
IMO GDPR is a great thing, we should be thankful instead of complaining..
Happy coding to y’all
I’ll be able to actually delete my WhatsApp account:)1 -
This one guy REALLY WANTED to work on the hardware (aka arduino in this case) part.
After hours of trying (with 8 guys) of get it to work on windows which just didn't happen, he still refused to even live boot into a Ubuntu machine.
At the end of the day one of the members went to sit down with him to talk about it and the guy finally gave in.
Two seconds into Ubuntu and arduino was successfully up and running!
Then, every day whenever he didn't get something, he'd just do nothing for the entire day while claiming to be working. The team leader sat down with him and I did too, offering him to sit next to me for a day to see how backend stuff went (I was the backender).
Did it but it just went back to the same old bullshit.
I honestly don't mind it if you find it difficult to ask for help but if you, after numerous chances and conversations, still don't do shit, sorry but fuck off.
He was a nice guy and blamed his autism for it but that's just not how it works.9
