@mohammed as with coding everyone sucks at every sport in the beginning... but if you practice every week, in a couple months you'll be much better!!
-
@biskus I think @Jumpshot44 meant the OP's boss haha
-
If it makes you feel any better you'd be bitching about anything you did
-
Like @noonesboy said, arrays and foreaches son, learn them!
-
@morhir you wanna give me an onboarding because I tried PHPstorm for a day and decided it was overkill and went back to sublime... I abandoned Dreamweaver in favor of Sublime's simplicity... Thought I was regressing using PHPstorm

@Hel8y this script may interest you then: http://wptavern.com/bluehost-open-s...
"Bluehost Open Sources Script Used to Update 2.5 Million WordPress Sites:
Bluehost wrote a Perl script that uses WP-CLI to update sites, even those running on versions as old as 1.0.2. The company successfully updated more than 2.5 million customer sites.
Bluehost used the script to successfully update 99% of the WordPress sites on its platform. After the first major update, fewer than 0.007% of customers reported issues and WordPress-related technical support requests have been reduced by 18%." -
I heard a great Chris Coyer podcast (CSStricks.com for those not in the know) where he had a roundtable with a bunch of execs in the biz and their consensus was that Senior Dev title shoukd not be given due to tenure but rather to those who are a "force multiplier"; people who push the team around them to achieve greater and teach them practices and tools to get there. I'd have to agree.

@itsdaniel0 I guess that's an unexpected "feature" of IE haha

Business casual if I'm coding in the office but boxers if I'm coding from home, I like to dress for the job I want not the job I have-- has worked well in the past. Managers trust you more if you dress like them!!

@compSci reported to the NSA for conspiracy against old IE huh... I see which side you're on 😉
-
@NoNameCode I'm sure we could work with the antivirus makers to turn a blind eye for the common good 😁

Subrant: why the hell ever would the IE dev team decide to fatal error on a console.log when the browser inspector window is not open is beyond me. One errant console.log and BOOM, your site is a potato... There cannot be one good reason for this behavior, then again what am I saying I'm talking about IE 😆

Getting locked out of your accounts is the truest way to prove you're human, because a robot wouldn't forget it's password, silly human.

@dfox opened the image full-screen, couldn't find how to close it for long enough to give up and force quit the app... White on white "X" 😣

@P3t3r6 Magento is horse shit, the folder structure is a goddamn mess, everything is XML mixed with PHP, plugin and theme management is a nightmare, core Magento is constantly full of security holes (including one that provided a hacker root access recently) and don't get me started with plugin security issues, admin store configuration and management is needlessly complex, and on top of that the documentation is garbage. I've had experience developing on many ecommerce platforms and I'd recommend Shopify- it is developed on a modern Ruby stack and is heads and shoulders above the competition. It will save you some hundred hours in pre-launch dev and multiple hundreds of hours of post launch maintenance and upkeep down the road ❤️
