@Jifuna try what I posted before and look if it satisfy you.
-
Go to about:config, then search for:
widget.allow-client-side-decoration and set it to true. -
@Kimmax Ansible is something I have faced, but not programmed anything yet.
-
They compiled it with a compiler written in another language, till the compiler was robust enough to compile it with itself.
How they did with the first compiler??
Ahah..a recursion of questions..
Anyway here the story:
http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/History -
Ahhhhh.....the Paradise...😄
-
@github In fact they are struggling. In my case it is working pretty good..despite tearing (both me and video 😭).
-
I like the "I hate programming" one 😏
-
@BrokeTheInteger
Do it only on "personal home" stuff!
😅 -
Maybe that's not true.
And anyway, it's worse when people do not realize they are (really) not good at it .. and they think they're good. -
lucky you!...it's almost impossible for me to find someone like your girlfriend..
"Linus...what?? Where is the button 'Start'?"
"it's Linux, GNU/Linux actually" -
@Dacexi yep, you're right..
I didn't mean that. But I think they are trying to uniform all the platforms, from iOS to Android, from Linux to Windows..also from the performance point of view too actually! All and everywhere shitty app 😊 -
@helloworld I really don't like di Android app too..
Is it a wrapper of the web version??
As a Linux user I have to admit that visual studio code is good though.. -
@512GB ahah nothing..
It happens when you work for something (or someone) you don't really like 🤐..
Has it ever happened to you? -
@eisterman well, maybe cython approaches the Python coder to C coder. But the latter, if good, is almost unattainable. How many really really good C coders have been around?
-
@Codex404

@valium123 ^A lucky (girl | guy)$
-
@github
I understand.
But the programmer we are talking about has 10 years of experience.
So it is only a matter of "code style" and "to be professional or not". -
@eisterman
I agree with you, mine was sarcasm.
I love python and I definitely don't think it's slow! -
@rusty-hacker
Ah! I didn't think about it..
😂 -
@greenhouse
Yes, and this situation is everywhere in the app code.. because it's a matter of approach to problem solving. If the programmer need only 'things done' and no performance and reusability..that is what happens.
Try to modify the code now..and see if you can do it easly! -
@620hun I'm not joking. The bigger problem was the Django query method, which activate a lot of DB queries..
-
@Celes You're right. But the problem is still there..I know that we need time, it's always been like that for driver and stuff like that on Linux environment.
Hope that Prime will improve..and that the folks from Nvidia would give a chance to the nouveau guys.
[..and this is another dream..] -
@Dacexi i know, I know..but the problem in certain combination of hardware it is harder than that.
The concept is:
V type of iGPU +
W type of dGPU +
X version of kernel (and acpi handling)+
Y version of Nvidia driver +
Z version of Xorg server ....
the sum is equal to the defenition of
UNCERTAINTY.
What about bumblebee and bbswitch?? 🙃 -
@Starkium I simply would like no tearing on my external monitor connected through Nvidia port..🙂✌️
-
@Celes For the record: the missing "offloading" 🤓
-
@Celes it is right what you said..but the afford is not the same.
(More info here:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/...) -
@Frederikam Did you sleep well the night after? 🙃
-
Oh..so I should change this rant in to:
"I have a dream..
'Linux not supported like Windows' edition (not so limited)" -
I like them too.. especially during vacation 😎
-
I know what you're saying.
Maybe if you have only Nvidia, you can do it quicker..the problem become bigger with hybrid configuration.
