Note to self: always confirm you have your security badge before leaving for the office super early in the morning2

Just started using Arc browser this week. I looooove it. I’m not a web dev though, so what do web devs think of it?3

I suspect my more “senior” colleague on my team consistently thwarts my ideas and continues to make bad programming decisions because no one else wants to deal with the code we own and he’s just trying to have job security by making it so that he’s the only one who understands this bowl of spaghetti.2

Teach data structures by showing how they're used in real life situations. Don't make us do some nonsense puzzle shit. For example, a friend of mine is learning stacks/queues right now and his assignment is to build a simple HTML parsing algorithm to determine whether an HTML file is valid. This shows the student a practical use of the data structure and reinforces that this shit actually does get used in real life.

To devs with at least a few years of experience that might not necessarily think of themselves as amazing: Do you still constantly get stumped at work? How has how you handle that situation changed since you first started? Do you still get stressed out?
I have a little more than a year of experience now, and although I've learned a lot, I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing..4 -
Memory debugging iOS probably makes me more anxious and stressed out than anything. I have put 11
hours into attempting to figure out this crash, but still no progress. It's like I can feel management breathing down my neck to get it done asap. You ever get so stressed out while trying to figure something out at work?3 -
"So have you launched any apps on the app store? Or do you have any projects you're actively working on that you can share with us?"
Yeah because everyone likes to code for fun after coding at their 9-5...4 -
When I was taking a programming course as a Mathematics prerequisite, and then object oriented programming basics (inheritence, interfaces specifically) all just clicked at once. Immediately decided I was going to pursue the computer science major instead of math.2

From a job posting I recently viewed:
"About you: We don't care about years of experience or knowledge of particular technologies, if you have a computer science degree; or a degree at all for that matter."
further down in the same posting...:
"Qualifications:
-MS/BS in Computer Science or related background
-2-3 years of front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and related JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone, React, or similar technologies"

Me when considering grabbing a cup of coffee after arriving at my desk in the morning: "Do I want to feel more awake or do I not want to have to poop all day?"1

What would your solution to daily commute traffic be if it were a solvable programming question?
Ps - I'm sitting in traffic right now and want to kill myself.4
