But how long where the three lines? Lines in Haskell can get pretty long.
-
Have u tried the answer suggested here : https://askubuntu.com/questions/...
The solution is for Ubuntu but elementary is based on Ubuntu so it should work -

I just use draw.io it has github integration and others can edit your diagrams without downloading a program. I tried DIA but I thought the diagrams looked bad once exported.

Does your uni still use Haskell 7.something or is that just mine.

Debian stable on a Dell Vostro 3559?
-
I use vim emulation in pycharm, eclipse, netbeans and atom.
Are they worth it? Probably but they cause alot if frustration when they aren't 100% compatable with all the shortcuts , for instance in Atom and Eclipse ":12" to take you to a line doesn't work.
I would recommend them but don't learn vim at the same time as a new ide or a new language. -
@TimoHo I'm using the version that was the main version yesterday(53), It is hardly old. I need my mouseless browsing extension and my theme to update before I can update.
-
@demiko I have but when you download the old version it comes with auto updates enabled so you I had to turn off WiFi and then disable updates. Before moving the current version to their archive they should just disable auto updates by default. I can't be the only one annoyed by this.

@linuxxx yh
-
@linuxxx so the dash thing was just one of probably many is a category of security flaws
-
@linuxxx so is any security flaw a backdoor by that definition?
-
@kpenc it says something about Linux that two years experience counts as beginner.
-
@kpenc so saying you can do something easily is not the same as a beginner find it easy.
-
@kpenc I'm getting the feeling you aren't new to Linux.
-
@kpenc no but Ubuntu has a vast and supportive community. Also some software for instance Spotify only has install instructions for debian based distros on their site. Also unity is very usable out of the box compared to gnome unless openSUSE or Manjaro add alot for extensions(by my memory openSUSE was plain gnome I haven't tried Manjaro).

Not sure about the making money off your data part. If you are referring to the Amazon stuff that has been disabled by default for a long time now.
-
@Jop- it's a clevo w650sj with an nvidia 850m and some i5 off the top of my head. Has worked fine in the past and works fine after another clean install.
-
I saw that message on Ubuntu yesterday without any AMD hardware being involved. I guess Ubuntu is just trash...
-
@kvsjxd well it says this version hasn't been activated or something similar. Not sure if the dev version can be activated, tbh I haven't looked into it at all.
-
@kvsjxd I downloaded it using the free developer version but I couldn't even download vim from the official Repos.
-
@kvsjxd correct me if I'm wrong but if you pirated RHEL you wouldn't be able to use their repos and so you would have to use CentOS repos. Surely you may as well just use CentOS ?
-
@ArchieT OK you are free to choose to avoid it but I'm sure distros devs would not use it if it limited users as they are almost certainly users of the respective distros they make.
-
@ArchieT given it is all open source surely unwanted features can be disabled by distros with relative ease.
-
@ArchieT did that not only recent come out (stability issues?) and isn't it based on Jessie when Stretch is basically stable now.
-
@runfrodorun as a somewhat new Linux user I don't understand the systemd hate, it seems to be a straightforward yet configurable system. Why do people hate on it? Is it just not liking change?
-
@penguin most definitely not telling you. I rely on that website too much.
-
@pengui@penguin really how easy are we talking? Asking for a friend?
-
@master98ofu yh I have heard of Linux Mint 😂. I'm not a fan given past security issues.
