I just dropped a 32gb flashdisk with a lot of data yesterday. Today someone picked it up and email me is it mine, I said yes and he asked me to order a courier and pick it up from his place.
God bless this kid and may luck be always be with him22 -
Question for the senior front end web developer here:
If you guys got a project (big or small), do you guys usually:
1. Get a template from another website and modify or style it to suits your need, or
2. Build it from scratch?
This applies to website like devrant, or swag store32 -
Fucking sharepoint
I’m fuckin done, editing this website layout is like teaching a kid with ie brain, worse is I need to use a fuckin sharepoint designer 2013 and I’m working on online sharepoint so everytime I saved something it’s delayed and my screen acts like having a motherfuckin seizure when I accidentally scrolled it. Not to mention grid doesn’t work here so I need to lay it out the fuckin old way. Oh the client also wants a fancy navbar so I literally hide the sharepoint desinger navbar and using js create my own navbar inside the container. Fuck you for creating this shit and actually sell it to people, it’s like working on a fucking old tech6 -
Out of all microsoft products I have got assigned to, I got a motherfucking sharepoint
Life is sad, I’m so sad

Does anyone have a good and free translator api I could use? I’m doing small school project and I just wanted to create text translator app. I tried yandex already, and ibm sucks since it doesn’t allow ajax request9

Stupid bluemix console, build a translator web apps which processed by translator api services. When I pushed it, error occurred *panic begins*. Then I decided to create a default netcore template and push it. It worked. Push the former one again and it worked.
Stupid server honestly1 -
Does anyone know a free hosting that support .net core web api without credit card? It’s just for a school project. IBM Bluemix only supports normal web app and azure needs credit card4

Dear those who did microsoft sharepoint front-end,
Fuck you
P.S. There is still 3 levels of iframe and table, but I can't show it because it contains data7 -
So I just started to use devRant on browser and noticed it shows the whole text from a rant, instead of putting read more just like the one on phone. Created a script for that thanks to @JoshBent12

So lately I’ve been sending an http request with ajax instead of using classic form submit. Pdf and images need to be converted into byte64 string then send it to the backend, problem is if the size gets too big chrome crashes and showed me ‘Aw snap’, but it works on firefox. Thr file is size could be 3 to 100 mb (for pdf). So my question; is this my problem or just browser limitation?16

Any rubik’s cube fan?
I ordered a rubik’s cube to help me when I faced a bug since I don’t know how to use the rubber duck55 -
PSA: negate your tests and make sure they fail!
I have what I thought was a weird and slightly paranoid habit. When I write tests sometimes just as a sanity check negate the assertion to make sure the test fails and isn't a false positive. Almost always fails as expected.
But not today! Turns out I had forgotten to wrap my equality check in an assertion so it would always pass. It freaks me out to imagine pushing a test that always passes not just because it doesn't do its job, but could also obscure a bug and trick me into thinking it works differently than it does. Broken tests are the worst!
But it pays to be paranoid. -
