@Archang3l C++ afaik
-
You mean they're not?
-
Yeah JS and Python!
-
I knew it was going to be this video before I even clicked on it!
Your saying that "HTML is a programming language" hinges on the distinction between "declarative" and "imperative" programming languages, but this conclusion is naïve, as it ignores another distinction:
"programming languages" and "markup languages" are different, and each can either be declarative or imperative.
An imperative programming language would be something like C. A declarative programming language would be Haskell or Eve.
An imperative markup language would be postscript. A declarative markup language would be XML or..... HTML. -
Ignore the frameworks and just learn vanilla JS. ES6 version. That's it. You don't need libraries if you don't want to get confused.
-
Not fucking cool! If you want to hook your laptop up to the big screen or some shit, you should have that right!
-
Disgusting! You'll bring shame on the next 15 generations of your family!
-
Idk why people are saying C# is the easiest. I learned assembly faster than I learned C#. It's a clusterfuck of bullshit imo.
-
Let him waste his money. If he wants to be stubborn, that's what he gets.
-
@nathanprocks Yeah, that was my point from the beginning.
-
@nathanprocks I didn't say CSS.
-
@Danacus No, it has objects. Those are its data structures. Those objects breed "instances" through making new objects and set up inheritance hierarchies by delegation linkages between their prototypes.
The horribly badly-named ES6 `class` keyword is syntactic sugar for prototypes. -
It's funny he explained it in terms of classes when JS doesn't have classes.
-
Ask him to make you an HTML program that adds two numbers.
-
Somebody's trying real hard to look like they know what they're talking about!
-
FFS this enrages me like nothing else!
-
@nblackburn I know, but the point is they don't even though they are capable. They have to make a whole new piece of software. That's working harder, not smarter.
-
@nblackburn because that would be the smart thing to do. They can't do that.
-
Yes! Got really into Grimoire of Zero lately
-
Are there keyboard shortcuts for deleting/duplicating/removing lines, search/replace, auto-indent, tab-to-space conversion, block (un)indenting?
-
Why not just do set(mylist)?
-
How badly did Microsoft fuck it up?
-
What was the line?
-
What was the context of that? What were you trying to do?
-
What type of assembly language is this?
-
Low-end PC?
-
Are you serious? It's Linux in my experience that's had all the driver issues. Windows drivers have almost always "just worked" when I installed something or plugged something in, and I've been using Windows since Windows 95.
-
@DrEmann That's one of the small reasons I use Haskell tbh.
-
Ewwww! 🤢
-
Do you blame yourself for getting that wrong? I don't! Jesus! 1-letter diff in ids == trouble
