I think this comic was made because West Virginia is going to use "Blockchain Voting Software" for the upcoming midterm elections.
More information at https://money.cnn.com/2018/08/....
You can see why this is a terrible idea in this Twitter thread https://twitter.com/GossiTheDog/... -
@sharktits Notifications cannot be coded through card with Flutter because you are only coding the client view. You still have to edit Java code as one owls normally do.
I recently programmed notifications w/ progress bar that appear at a certain time and vibrate when the event ends with a Flutter app. Had to set u other events when the MainActivity was created. -
@heyheni Yeah Zeplin is great, there are also other alternatives to it.
There’s even web alternatives to Sketch as well!
@A-C-E was what a pun? Don’t think I made any pun on purpose anywhere -
I have a feeling the software is Sketch (https://sketchapp.com).
The team should have probably gone with an alternative like Adobe XD so everyone could use it tho. -
@Jilano No problem! This is what devRant is for :D
I didn't know about the GDPR until it started popping up here and then I was like *oh shit*. -
@Diactoros By "Beep bop I'm a bot" I was kinda referring towards Clippy and AIs... I see I did not do that very well.
I can assure you I am Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER% human. -
@UltraJason Oh sorry, my apologies. I forgot to include it.
@cafecortado thanks -
Atom has teletype, however, the people you share your project with can only see the files you have open and will automatically open the file when you open one, making it very annoying.
Support for full projects is planned, but who knows when that will arrive, much less fancy server sharing and terminal sharing and stuff like that. -
@jAsE One can do this with the Magic Keyboard, not sure why Apple thought it was a good idea to make the mouse different.
-
@electrineer I believe that does also apply to living organisms... 🤨
-
Mine came with my iMac. I kept the keyboard because the battery is good, but gave the mouse to my mom because she hates the mousepad on my MacBook.
Still using my good-ass corded mouse. -
@JiggleTits Apple Mouse is charging, and the port is on the bottom, so he can’t use it while charging.
TBH idk why Apple thought that was a good idea. -
@-vim- oh, it’s been put on hold? I didn’t know that... at least they still work, tbh.
-
🙄
The same thing literally happened to me. I was creating a test app with flutter, named it flutter_test, and it said the name was reserved 🤨
Ended up naming it test_flutter 😑 -
My family never asks for me to do anything, my "friends" do but most of them just want some game unblocked with the school devices.
I've coded things for my mom, and tbh they have all been learning experiences, one was an end fresh app using Vue (I had never really used Vue before) and another one was a flutter app for Android.
Can't imagine what you all are going through. -
I like the UI, and the computer’s looks as well. I’ve loved Apple since I was a kid, but only got my first apple device four years ago.
I like it because many dev apps are only for macOS (like Sketch).
I’ve personally used windows xp, 7, Linux 12,+, and MAC OS X Mavericks up to High Sierra.
Obviously the best have been Linux and macOS. I love them both. -
I tried it out last week, after having known about it for ages.
Much easier to learn than react native and all those, and doesn’t even occupy that much extra space.
The fact that I had to learn dart didn’t even make it hard, it made it enjoyable. Having java and JavaScript background sure helped tho. -
Time to start looking for those unplanned and unexpected features then... this is gonna take a while.
-
Oh hello there, Duo Mobile...
-
We get iPads at our middle school and laptops at our high school.
There’s also a guest and personal WiFi at the school, which you can sue if you are not using a school device.
