The reason behind this is that these guys are not tech people
they have no idea what's possible and what not
if they were they would build it themselves instead -
I really didn't expect it from discord seriously
-
they didn't get murdered
they got a promotion -
@zshh yeah definitely
-
@DRHAX34 you know pantheon DE is one of the new unstable ones
even if the release is labeled as stable -
@zshh messenger.com has terrible loading speed even on my i7 laptop with SSD and my internet connection is pretty fast as well
-
@linuxxx I'll check if I've done that even though I'm pretty sure I did
still that's very close to unacceptable -
I hate facebook and still it's the only way I have to communicate to most of my friends
-
Linux is perfect
no need to change anything -
@Artemix I have the adblock plus and privacy badger too
still when I search with DDG I get targeted ads on facebook for things I search on DDG
which makes no sense but still happens quite a lot -
@Artemix still getting targeted ads all the time
Become a dev in 7 days on fb
using DuckDuckGo for the past 5 months
idk I just cant feel a difference -
How long until they tell you "The system automatically declined your insurance request or loan or anything really"
I feel like no search engine or anything respects the "PRIVACY" of the end user
Also I got an app that blocks tracking (10+ on youtube and any other site with fb share links) not to mention the ones it isn't able to detect... -
"It works on my machine"
-
How do you actually start as a free lancer?
I already know a few languages (at least I am comfortable with them) and programming in general. Planning projects from scratch and debugging anything is what I usually do.
Still not sure if it's enough. -
@codumke It's a bug?
It's a feature?!?
It's Windows....
Makes you angry for more than 20 years already -
@codumke I don't think that's sticky keys it's just the OS registering keydown but no keyup so you need to press it again to trigger the keyup
-
Creating hotkeys for things that are hardly ever used is plain stupid. Just leave it unbound and let users bind them if they ever need it...
-
@hsbfsix you can use a VM for most malware unless it is able to detect that it's a VM
-
@God@GodHatesMe Will run*
The whole OS is one big malware -
Best AV is called common sense
