Does anyone actually know how to write Groovy?

My rant: click bait.

Rant about my application - mate thinks he can add features that are insanely hard to implement. Dare initiated. $150 if he does it, he buys me 3 rounds if he looses.
Proceed to give him the link to the repo. He downloads it and runs it in VS. Complains that it doesn't work and is broken...
"Have you installed the frameworks?"
"What frameworks"...

When the backend service you use religiously decides its going to shut down, and the only other real alternative for you is Firebase... But doesn't have a Xamarin/C# API... fml...
