@Lensflare I used to have a kitty named Simone (rip) who loved zoom and teams. She came in every morning for my daily standup and looked at everyone snd sometimes someone would say something and Evans would look at each other, then back to the screen in agreement. The best was when she would stand up, put her paws together. And wave them at the screen, dissolving our meeting into laughter. I sure miss her. My current cats don’t do that, but one sometimes attends meetings but is more interested in laying on my laptop and licking my mouse hand

@Nanos love it! When my dad left the planet in 1998 and my community was the first to test broadband, I made his old 496 into a Linux box. I had no idea what I was doing but I learned. It was not only my web server back in the day when isps didn’t cap your upload speed but I also had it doing up masquerading since you couldn’t go get a router for $20 and we wanted all of our computers online

@Demolishun yeah I left GoDaddy because they were going to crap. I’ve been looking for a good hosting company so I’ll check out your recommendation! Thank you! I used to run my own server in rack space but it was too much - had an email bomber come attack me etc.

@jestdotty my security issues stem from my work in the private sector for most of my career where I was looked down upon. I also get mad at myself because there are holes in my knowledge. So that’s why. I’ve been in the public sector for 6.5 years and never happier or more respected. I appreciate this GroupMe and I’m glad I found it. I’m I secure when easy shit fails and I am my own worst critic. What can I say? I’ve learned since joining a certain groups about lifestyle improvement that having a big ego gets us into more trouble than anything!

Meanwhile….still trying some things. Going to play with hidden fields and validating those … I will get to the bottom of it eventually if not sooner!!!

I do sonethibg to detect a truly empty string for image uploads….not sure how to do this in other $_POST fields…..this is a downside of being self taught

@Nanos no. When I go check my user registrations, they are listed in a script I wrote. When I’ve tested, it sends me a message telling me someone has registered. Gmail.

@Nanos nope! It’s a designated email field and required and now I have a kick back in the script disallowing a blank entry for that field. Thing is, html5 takes care of it on the front end and I’ve tried on diff browsers to see if I could replicate the error but no no and no. Makes me want to hang up a shingle and do nails for $100/hour….
