SkillsMobile, IOT, frontend, backend, systems programming, drivers-- you name it, I've probably been paid to do it... and if not, I'll learn. I'm what they call a polyglot.

@Codex404 but they’re short cubes, so you can pretty much just stand up if you want to talk to anybody in the team
-
@Codex404 lol there’s no such thing as full concentration in my office.. somebody’s in my cube every 10 minutes I swear
-
@heyheni Exactly! they were selling these shirts at Warped this year 💙
-
@heyheni I guess I said screamo but what I really meant was I listen to a lot of Hawthorne Heights over and over again 🙃
-
I agree with @ItsNotMyFault: Concepts are the most important.. not the specific language or framework. If you get the concepts, you can apply them to many other technologies. Keep an open mind 😄
-
I must confess I tried to zoom in and read this
-
Sorry man.. wish you the best.
-
I think Sourcetree is nice for its visual branch/merge representation but it certainly can't do everything. But you can launch a terminal window from within it 🙃
-
😂
-
I know that feeling, but I have to echo the others. It's probably just a silly mistake.
-
I think most of us feel like this when learning something new. Just keep trying and you can overcome it!
-
I've been coding lots of c lately and I have to say I love it
-
Kinda think this is about Pokemon, but it's just not clear lol
-
Windows phone is great tbh--- awesome UX since v7 and very simple to use. AFAIK Microsoft is planning to let partners handle the hardware side of things now. They're too stubborn to kill it off completely (and they shouldn't!)
-
You can catch all my friends for sure
-
Love this.
-
Mine is NCC-1701 and I love it

Upvote for "Church of Emacs"

Also, I just realized that there's no report button on rants anymore, so at least that's not duplicated by the downvote thing. I do appreciate that.
-
@IAL32 so a community about rants (above all things) is a "nice" community? 🙃 I remember the creators described it as "fun" but also "edgy".. Not the same. Typically in other communities, there's just downvote with no "reason". It can mean whatever the user wants, usually "dislike" or "this is wrong"... I'm guessing now that the downvote reason is being used for some analytics, so why don't we capture accurate ones? 🤔

This is cute
-
Because "not for me" is not the same thing...
-
Word.
-
@triggerHappy yeah, but it's starting to become "uncool" to be one of them when there are so many newer technologies gaining steam
-
Oh man. My first consulting project right out of school, we were building a web app that showed available dates on a hacked-up jQuery datepicker. This thing was a mess, but that's what happens when you let a fresher build a whole feature with 0 code review.
So, 1 day 'til the end of the contract, we get told there was an issue during the latest demo... All the dates were showing up unavailable when they weren't! After practically 24 hours of research and debugging, I discovered it had to do with the client being in a different time zone than the server....
Hackitty hack hack. -
This is tasteless
-
Yo.
-
^^^what they said. All artists get "art block" at times.
-
I never learned them properly in school, either... Now I'm a mainly a C programmer. Somehow.
-
@ikwilkoffie Sorry to hear that. Hope she comes around. Maybe someday you can show her the basics!
