@piratefox team lead, is that you?
-
@Demolishun isn’t this a place to…rant?
-
Another reason why you shouldn’t use link shorteners. Or at least build (and host) your own if you really really need to.
-
@irene Teach me your ways master
-
@C0D4 Didn’t know about the log analyser, thanks. I reckon we’d still need to use the console for test classes and queries.
-
@asgs I did speak to manager, he told me to try and sort it out with my team lead.
-
@Floydimus Wouldn’t say I’m not learning. There’s a fair deal of learning, my problem is the immediate people in my team.
-
@BimaAdi the moment you want to do something outside their “standard” way of doing this, you almost can’t.

“IE was a terrible browser, but it was our terrible browser” -
@UnicornPoo Right. Here ya go. Person X does NOT reply. Skype, Teams or Zoom, she just doesn’t reply. Only time I’ve seen her talk is during meetings with the lead. Especially difficult for me since she has developed much of earlier functionality. Person Y and Z almost always give conflicting answers largely because of ignorance towards technicalities. Person A, the supreme lead is always offline, only time to find him online is between 12-2am.
I’m new to this project, Salesforce causes enough problems on its own, these folks just worsen it. I haven’t seen an error free deployment day in the last month with tours team. -
@Fast-Nop Story Points
-
Update - when it did restart VSC had the code in the tabs - filenames(deleted)
@electrineer @N00bPancakes -
@NoToJavaScript yes local host exists. But that’s the point here.
The real point is the AWS “Free tier” isn’t really free and I believe the obfuscation of expenditure is an intentional dark pattern. Do you concur? -
@NoToJavaScript It makes sense to pay if you’re working on a product that is into production and generating revenue. Not so much if it is a college project used only by the dev.
-
@homo-lorens good for you!

Phew, that escalated fast

@N00bPancakes the Dev, for not allowing special characters in a password?
-
Update on the same site-
So I changed my password (dad was using a week password), it was a randomly generated 30 char string. I enter it and the reset is successful. I try to log back in, doesn’t work. It’s a password manager, absolutely no chance of an error. So I click reset password.
In a minute or so, I get an email with my username and password as plaintext in the body. And the password is first 15 characters of my 30 char password. Apparently the site takes only the first 15 chars and mind you this was not mentioned anywhere. This is just wrong on so many levels. -
@JonBorno the problem with cloud watch alarms is that it’s just an alarm. Not a trigger or hard cap. Can’t expect the person receiving them to respond instantly, especially on nights or weekends.
-
@sariel huh? Really is it that bad? Beyond frustrations, I have not faced any serious issues. The current project I’m on, is for a F100 client who has a 10+ year product roadmap for the product. I’d assume that they took these into account before choosing to use Salesforce.
-
@sayam yep, there are a few very good courses I agree. It’s just that my experience so far has been below par in the courses I’ve taken.

@Fast-Nop Can GDPR be interpreted in any way that would lead to the conclusion - chrome CANNOT ignore the header and are mandated to process the opt out request in header?
Also kudos for adding it to tour site. -
@Fast-Nop seems as a developer you can if you have access over your Apache server. Check out Q #7 in,

I’m just curious if this is being talked about in teams and especially wrt to existing GDPR compliance. -
The “place holder” just makes it worse
