I'm pretty sure when the average Joe hears there's been a data breach he assumes his actual password has been leaked, and he just shrugs and assumes it's someone else's problem.
He wouldn't understand hashing if you tried to explain it to him, and he doesn't care. He thinks the idea of choosing a strong password is a bit of a joke, like you're pretending you're James Bond or something.
He reuses passwords because using password managers is confusing, and he left the little book he used to write them all down in on a train a couple of years ago. When his accounts occasionally get hacked, he just puts it down to computers being unreliable, there's nothing he could have done about it. -

@antigermanist Fuck. Now my backend needs to be able to support arbitrarily complex data.
This was a bad idea. -
GraphQL my arse.

Are these two observations connected in some way?
-
Chujnia.

Je m'appelle badger, ou est le pantalon?

Most of the advanced ones seem to contain the name of the language or the usual file extension, and most of the rust ones are about borrowing although that's probably realistic.
-
@jestdotty A contrarian point of view... are you thinking that if there are likely to be different implementations of something then you should pull it out as a microservice so you're not tied to any specific architecture? That's conceptually very similar to an interface though. Or you're coming from a language where interfaces don't exist or don't work?

It doesn't look "incredibly expensive", it looks like a shitty barber shop that's probably a money laundering front.
-
How does the concept of "country" and "traitors" play with the open borders thing?
-
I am still giggling at the spoon thing and people are looking at me like I'm some kind of weirdo.

@SidTheITGuy so does entity framework and that's written in a proper language*. The common denominator is ORM.
* yes, I know. -
That doesn't sound inherent to JS, to be fair.
-
@retoor if you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then the plate seems unnecessary.
-
@YourMom We had a guy who got fired for lying about his qualifications, and his dad came to talk to the CEO to try and get him un-fired. CEO told them to bugger off.
That was about 20 years ago, so before it became fashionable. -
Doodoo internet theory.

Binding energies would change, so chemistry would stop working, and the concept of noticing things would cease to apply.
-
@antigermanist You're pretty passionate for a guy who's arguing with a badger.
-
By modern standards, that probably counts as far right.
Interesting that you'd be ok with letting everyone in who wants to come though. It would be absolute carnage. Unless you're in a country that nobody wants to come to in which case fair enough. -
@whimsical @donkulator Wig.
-
@whimsical All our competitors use the same providers as well so it's all good.
-
People assume I'm not a real badger.
