Broke my head twice just to understand it, as much as I did. -
@Alice nope, only Europe uses , as decimal point and . as separator. All the other countries go with the other way around.
Maybe 10 or so countries outside Europe too use it but that's about it. -
How much do you think doing the complete project should be compensated with ÷ estimate of number of hours it will take
-
@IllSlapU I don't think the European system is the global system.

I pay ~ 6.5 €/month for 25M up and down unlimited.
I pay annually though so there's some discounts for that. -
Protonmail is fine. Feels just like an Outlook mail. The size limitation is a con but I don't use it as my primary so it's empty right now.
Didn't understand the rest of the question -
Screen resolution?
-
@Totchinuko please describe how you customised it.

It's not an edge case. It used to happen if you came out of your cozy home during snowy winter, the touch would become unresponsive for a minute or two.
That's going to be really common with winter setting in. -
Is that a pug available for 1,200++?
Also, why is the white cat more expensive than all the other colour cats? -
Here's some advice from owner of a very similar Asus laptop:
1 Replace your battery every year. The battery life will drop to <2 hours by the end of an year of usage. Also things like 'hibernation when the battery reaches low level' fail and the laptop abruptly shuts down.
2 Don't update to the latest Nvidia drivers. Just stick to the latest one available on the Asus site. The graphic card seems to have some power regulation issue if you update to the Nvidia driver.
3 After every major Windows update (eg., Windows 8 to 10, 10 to creators, creators to fall creators), the BIOS gets quirks like the sleep failing. You'll need to reflash your BIOS. There's also this trick to reflashing to the same(or lower) version which isn't directly allowed by Asus. There are scores of Asus laptop owners who have the same issue littered all over different forums but Asus isn't ready to accept it as their fault.
4 If you BSOD regularly due to driver power failure, try reflashing BIOS. It might work. -
@host127001 where is this gem buried? Which version?

No need for VPN. Just replace '??' with the country code of country you wish to see it in, eg., 'US'
This setting is now hidden from the UI since the time the new UI rolled out. -
@FMashiro nor does it say 'IOR'. Given that it's not explicitly mentioned,
I'll assume it's the exclusive OR and not inclusive OR allowing me to take both food and drinks in together. -
Who said that that's an inclusive OR?

Let me introduce you to this open-source gem
http://lighttable.com
It's light, has a browser rendering the code you write and a lovely dark theme
Only issue is it has not yet hit version 1.0 -
@CorruptComputer Some analogy you've got there.

People think installing Arch is the difficult part. It's when you hit your first package issue and implement the fix that you understand Arch intimately.
-
If your girlfriend is technically inclined that's fine but if she isn't and isn't interested, it's going to be a hassle down the road.
I'd recommend Mint or Xubuntu for the layperson. Even Manjaro if you want to stick with Arch. -

Helps me out tons when dealing with encoding. -
It's not 14. It's like 40.

I've never had any such compositor issues since Windows XP. Hope I don't jinx myself.
