@IntrusionCM basically my local high schools have a process where you have to write essays and I literally only wrote about AWS and I was only one of a handful of kids who got perfect scores on all of their essays. Keep in mind this was middle school and a lot of the people wrote about their state and national competitions and I just wrote about AWS and I got in.

@piratefox I'm not talking about twitter I'm talking about my actual school. I'm fine with people correcting me about their pronouns but when they call me out and make a big deal about it it's kind of embarrassing. I've had people cry due to me misgendering them. I know this isn't reprehensive of gen z but still.

I understood she had no coding knowledge and was forced to teach our class but threating me with ISS? I don't know, she was big on respect and refused to even take in new ideas. When kids went to her for help, she said to first try it on their own, even though they didn't know how to fix it, so I had to do it cause my teacher automatically elected me to help the class. I didn't mind but she still threatened me with ISS.

My Comp Sci teacher has no experience with computers. I was basically my class's debugger and this was HTML and CSS and a 6th grade class. She also told the class that scratch uses python(it doesn't) and threatened to give me ISS(In school suspension) if I continued arguing with her so that was a fun experience.

@RahulSG oh ok, I might try to use some free visa gift cards that I have lying around to see if I can create a new AWS account cause I am studying for my AWS Developer Associate exam right now so an AWS account would be useful for studying. Thanks for the idea!

@RahulSG Yea but that would mean I would have to make a new AWS account which would mean I would need a new credit card number and I really don't wanna ask my parents.

@marcus5914 That was my first thought but unfortunately they said that there was nothing I could do about it. It's kinda sad but hey, now I will always remember to shut down my EC2 instances so I guess it was a good, but expensive, learning opportunity.
