-
if a phd application is driving you mad, wait till you actually start it, you'll consider becoming a stripper ...
-
well it just that socializing consumes a lot of my energy like running a marathon but emotionally... update : i feel better now i slept well and got my energy back !
-
@Santaclauze i don't drink
-
@Japorized yo that's MY "perfect date" :p
-
@discosama it depends on the country https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
-
@R3zz0R hehe tell me about it ... we have that too lol can be confusing sometimes
-
i'm dead 😂😂😂😂
-
I'm the only female in the devs team and i always get comments based on my gender... i had to work twice harder because no one expecting a female to be able to code... and many times i hear things like : "you're too good for a girl", "aren't you tired of coding ... ", "don't be afraid to do this or that (while i'm only considering security or scalability or regression issues)" .... and you know we can't really blame them ... they're just few females in the tech world...and the media is not really helping
-
agree ! also it's a good habit to discuss what you're about to code with your team ... to avoid any regression and for everyone to know about the changes coming.
-
@lucaIO oh all right 😁
-
@lucaIO well i never said it's a new project ...
-
@Tobyvw my mistake the hashtag of that rent wasn't so accurate
-
@thenoob hmm think about what you always wanted to learn about and i'm sure you can combine it with the blockchain technology.. in my case i wanted to learn more about cyber security and also IoT ... you can also combine it with a domain you're already good at or have knowledge of ...
-
@1989 maybe you should consider getting involved ... i've just started to learn about the whole thing a couple of months now and i don't have much time cuz i still have to work as a developer to pay my bills ... you gonna struggle at the beginning but later you will get used of the terms and technologies... and you may like it
-
@1989 i wanna assist your meetings sounds cool haha ... hyperledger is a blockchain for business and a lot of companies are currently using it like IBM and yes it's really interesting to learn about
-
@Tobyvw my thesis is not really about cryptocurrency ... it's more about the underlying technology which is the blockchain and more specifically the use case of using blockhain to secure IoT ... @thenoob before choosing your topic you need to learn more about the technology so won't regret it or get bored with the subject later ... i personally think that the blockchain technology is the most exciting part ... and there are endless possibilities of how to exploit it ... whether it's banking and payments and how it can change the entire financial world ... or cyber security to protect any data using cryptography... or in industrial domain like the supply chain management.... or like what @1989 suggested smart contracts are the new way of managing trust ... and to answer your question anyone can write a smart contract they're simply computer programs that run on a virtual machine like EVM the challenge is how to write a robust unhackable smart contract
-
@RAZERZ yes ...
-
@corjaantje they can't really control it ... but it means that penalties and fines will be applied if you're publicly using it or if they can prove it ...
-
@MatanRad of course i can still work on it ... it's just desapointing
-
@bcye sure :
https://youtube.com/watch/...
enjoy 😉 -
@404response yes ... i found the tutorial on youtube
-
@Baguette haha high five :p
-
@heyheni i forget my own code and i correct my own code all the time ...it's not that i'm complaining about... this code is a real hell ... i have to create an android version of an old calculations web application... there is no documentation for the calculations... so i need to read the web app code to extract the algorithms... i found out that the entire application is in 3 files : all.html ... all.js (6302 lines of code)... all.css
with variables named "maVar".."anotherVar"... -
@PonySlaystation thanks !
-
@plusgut your dad or my mom just want the best for us, it doesn't mean that their definition of the "best" is accurate or wrong ... don't expect them to inform themselves before advising you, they sometimes use just their feelings or what they grow up thinking, they won't google it. i was on a long train trip alone and i met an old guy from London, he was on vacation and we started to talk and introduce ourselves, and when he found out i'm in the tech domain he told me that he's not in good terms with his son because he was against his son's wish to be a developer, a job that seemed like fail for him back then, his son left the house and took a loan and pursued his studies and now he works for a big cybersecurity company ... the guy seemed regretting everything he said or did to his son, i felt really sorry for him ... it's not really easy to be a parent and be the one to give the RIGHT advice... anyways just don't be so hard on your parent even if they are ...sorry for the long script
-
@bkishan haha happy for you !
-
@plusgut well yeah ! i'm preparing for my phd now even though my mom thinks that getting married is better lol i love her though
