It was good for the first 2 seasons. Then the rest is just more drama than anything else

@Nanos that's an interesting way of date file format. I usually do YYYYMMDD, all numerical, no separators like 20210528. But yours seems better but I can't help feel like it's out of place.
-
@yesNo apparently my customer. I just don't know what to do to a lady.

Johnny Decimal's way is great for the office but not ideal for devs. Numbering folders and adding spaces is a tab completion hell. But like everyone says, its about how you set up folders and make them work for you. While I do wish that there was a better framework for organising files other than the default, Documents, Downloads, Videos, Pictures, Desktop, .Porn, etc, but at the moment, we're free to organize it the way we want.
Now how I do mine really depends on the purpose of files. If its an installer, it goes to Downloads and I can choose to keep the installer or delete it. If its a project document file (Word, Excel, Txt, etc), it goes into my Project/Document. If those documents are for my personal use or family use, I put them in Personal/Document or Family/Document.
Then if its way too crowded and can be sub-categorized, its as easy as creating new folders. -
@electrineer that's what she said

I prefer a more meme wallpaper. Like a text that says, "Do you want to get hacked? Because unlocked unattended computers can get you hacked" with an image of Archer.
-
@C0D4 if it's causing them to lose sales? Is that a threat?

Please don't merge for orphanNodes please 🥺

@Jilano +1 for Super Recreational Vehicle Web service. We all need a break from COVID...
-
@Fast-Nop .... Fcuk
-
I might consider Fedora instead.

Makes me think that if I hand over a script, I'll just obfuscate the shit out of it and just tell them, "Run it as is."

Sleep is a function to help store short-term memory to long-term memory. It's likely that because there's nothing to store because the long-term memory is in active use (i.e. knows how to fix a bug based on past experience or just realized something in short-term memory to fix the bug).
Hence, there's a memory leak in the sleep function. -
@dan-pud I wish it wasn't tho.
-
I'd rather do hacktoberfest. At least I get a T-shirt for fixing bugs
-
@Neo- if price is a factor, there's always Mattermost
-
@JhonDoe honestly, it's not bad. Just different in communication mechanics. Including how to invite people into teams (or workspace) to start. I'm already feeling the barrier.

@AleCx04 that hijacked notification comment changed my life

@dudeking Attack on Titan soundtrack starts playing

@Nanos you really know your watches. Ok I'll see if I can swap the strap. Thanks!
-
Here's my watch strap. I'm guessing it's not a comfortable strap since I complained. But it's a watch my wife got me 😅
-
@C0D4 sorry the desktop app crashed. My original comment was, its possible that @irene may not be a woman. And I was right. Anonymity is everywhere.
-
@Nanos I think you're right! I guess I'm not wearing the right watch for what I do. Time to go shopping again ahaha
-
@Nanos I left mine at home today. I'll post a pic when I find a stock image equivalent to my annoyance but still wants to wear a wristwatch. Otherwise, I'll photo one in use when I get home.
-
Not very transparent but we know people's salary level. E.g. a colleague we know is on Salary level C2. That means his salary is between $650 - $950. We won't know exactly until he says so. This includes knowing how much our bosses earn too but in a range. Noone is bothered so much by it though.
-
@Nanos Its not too big. I had a smaller watch before so I don't think that plays. I rest my arms on the table as I type my keyboard. I wear my watch on my left and I use my right to control the mouse. Checked that my height to type is just right. I have a rubber silicone strap for the watch but somehow it feels like its holding my left wrist off the table. This feels weird because of my right wrist isn't. I did try loosen and tighten my strap, neither helped and became more bothersome than helpful.
-
@netikras Well... yeah. Wearing a nice cardigan has some effect. I guess this sort of effect only works on some people. I like to think of it as RPG equipment giving me +1 Charisma. But that's me.
-
I wear for style and functionality. It makes me look good but the watch I wear has a compass on it. Apparently using the hour hand and the sun to give you a heading on the wristwatch is a nice survival trick that I didn't know about.
