@Linux hahaha same here. I read only “happy to have upgraded wife” 😂
-
Well I was just pissed off going through few resumes that listed the MOOC they completed as relevant experience.
That’s still education and doesn’t count as experience unless you “BUILT” something yourselves applying what you learned.
Some of them happened to be back end guys who just learned writing javascript, but never bothered to build a project to showcase what they learned, instead just claimed the MOOC as experience and called themselves full stack developers. -
Tell yourself that you are gonna remember it next morning...
But something keeps telling you to get up and jot it down...
Too lazy to get up but too scared to let go the idea... -
@KuMa couldn’t agree more. I am all in for anything that does a value addition in the context that an organisation operates in. The context is the key word there. And it’s a mix of variables, unique to each organisation irrespective of the domain and the market they serve.
The issue is when someone reads a blog post over the weekend, barely scratches the surface of that for less than a week and comes up with a proposal that switching over will solve every problem that is currently out there. -
@Salmakis I think pretty much every company out there has done the same with docker. Containerisation has been the buzz word out there which every one wanted to get their hands dirty with. 😄
-
@Cricksu started showing up beta 3 onwards. You on the same build?
-
@7400 have my watch and airpods connected over Bluetooth. Hence plural.
-
@lazysnail yup. And I wasn’t referring to nosql in particular, it was the new and shiny hammer for me back then.
Sometimes adopting new tech which is implemented for solutions at a different scale without considering your own ecosystem just opens a can of worms. -
@Deserter Thankfully no. less distractions post discovering devRant 😄
-
@jmacmi2 that’s a great analogy! Though I am not quitting yet 😝
-
@sebh0602 @Jop- it was slanting while I took the pic. This was taken right after assembly. Fixed it later.
-
@jhh2450 draw is vector based. Just like illustrator.
-
@gitpush it’s an AirPort Extreme. I have other external backup. It’s one of the best wireless AC routers out there at that cost.
I have read that time capsule would just work fine with windows as long as you have not configured it for time machine backup with your mac. I could be wrong too. -
@cgrey @vrtad @coffeeneia thanks. Glad you liked it.
-
@gruhn @valium123 that’s a razer nostromo, gaming keypad with fully programmable keys.
-
@pagongski the xp reference was to point out that I used to, and still do silly visual upgrades 😄
It’s an i5 6600K on ASUS Z170 Gaming MB with 16 gigs of DDR4 and GTX 970 -
@pagongski I get it. But I grew up putting those longhorn and aqua theme packs on XP. Never really was happy with what windows offered off the shelf. However this time the modifications are only external. I use win10 base flavour.
But you need a place for the stickers you get with your mac purchase, don’t you? Sticking it back on Mac would be not so ideal.
Moreover I felt the white logo over black background looks pretty good. -
@ninjatini @Skayo @TheDevil @jAsE glad you guys liked it. Here is another shot
Spent almost 2 hours on cable management 😄 -
Rendered a simple 3D scene using Aqsis opensource renderer. This was done on the first generation Pi.
-
Meanwhile in Apple HQ... should we wait this long for apple maps as well?
-
@SmirkingBandit write unit tests and get a bone treat? Nah!
-
@tahnik and wait to spend 4x for Mac Pro 😄 that would be not-so-profitable business model!
-
@gitpush glad you liked it.
