I'm taking a class in my university about Cloud computing. In 2 weeks we made a simple web app to upload videos and then a simple job that converts all videos to mp4.

Now we took the app to the Cloud using AWS. We created different instances for the web servers, we changed the database to NoSQL, used SQS to queue the convert videos jobs to the different workers instances, used SES, S3, CloudFront, ElastiCache. All that stuff.

And all that is worthless because I cannot get my Ubuntu instance to run a fucking command on reboot. I don't really know how and I feel that all my work was wasted.

Oh DevRant community, I've come seeking for help and wisdom.
In my university the basic programming course uses Java and it's getting a bit outdated. The class has a lot of resources, like online videos and examples, but teachers from other departments say that the class doesn't teach students correctly.
I'm a student at that university, and I'm working in a group tasked to diagnose the class and seek for possible solutions. I need to know if some of you know about tools used to teach programming and algorithmic thinking in an interesting way at a university level. Something like Scratch or Karel, but for university students. If you have an example university I would love that!

This semester I'm taking a class in my university about Cloud computing. You know, how to use the cloud better, when to use it, and we are using AWS in the class. That mother fucking class takes a lot of my time, I couldn't sleep for 2 nights in a row doing homework, and now EVERY TIME I go to YouTube to chill and see a video I GET A UDEMY AD TO LEARN AWS. WHY??

My client might just make our designer ragequit. 30 days ago he said: ohh this login page looks empty, I want images in the background. 15 days ago he said: I like the images, but change this part and this part. Today he said: I don't like any of the imagea, get rid of them. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

Client: I need to organize this data in my database, just let me create any folder, and folders inside folders. I mean, it is a database so you can create folders right?
Me: I'll see what I can do
Inner me: NO, F U, that's not easy, that's not how databases work, WTH is wrong with you

Thanks to my client, my project's code is like swiss cheese, with mozzarella in the holes, or brie or whatever cheese to fill the hole quickly.

The crushing fear of not knowing enough about programming, or getting behind.
