And there I sat a few years ago, wanting to move, but all I got was messages from recruiters in the City I tried to move away from. There is a setting in Linkedin for "cities I'm interested in", but apparently no recruiter ever looks at that.

Also: Have a look at litmus.com. This has saved me days upon days.

@Root I, um, I ... cannot deal with compliments.
-
@Gormack I know what I'm *supposed* to do.
Be proud that I write tests at all. *sigh* -
I think you hide in the crowd. Every. Single. Company. I've worked at has a process like this at one point or another.

IsUserCreated
IsUserInitialized

Make it unintersting for abusers. Auto-dispose of the address after 10 mails and limit usage to 2 addresses per ip per day. No harm to regular users, but more work for abusers (who will just go somewhere else).

I use userId. I'm very strict about it. Because this is one of those cases where you search for hours upon hours why userId is undefined.
-
This. It actually quite troublesome when looking for jobs. I am an actual fullstack developer, and even worse, specialized in JS. Even though I can set you up with a SPA with a node REST API and teradata DB auto-deployed using Docker swarm mode with TLS1.3 support within a few days, I still sit through interviews where I have to prove I know what the this-context of a function is. No one believes "full stack" any more.

find the package.json in the folder, the global node_modules is in. Back it up. Wipe node_modules. Check if there's a package-lock.jsonm If yes, delete it, too. After that, make sure the package.json is still there (or there again) and do a npm i -g (without sudo).

I used to fight with Vuex a lot. Used to hate how it's never quite working so smooth with deeply nested object. Turns out that projects where I built the data structure with Vuex's quirks in mind (read: very, flat data structures) not only didn't run into problems with Vuex, but were overall a lot easier to maintain. So all it really did was teach me to design data structures. (Doesn't quite help if someone else did it, though)

You in Stockholm?

If this is not true, maybe you're not using the right context. Try arrow functions instead. #JS
-
Aaaah, this may work, but there's going to be a dev who will hate you for this. (probably you, 3 years later)
-
@ewpratten great! did you have a look at the github? I can use some help getting the discussions started. There are quite a few decisions to be made
@KDSBest nah, that's too obvious. More like
shouldfilter() => Math.rand() > 0.5 -
@Kimmax I totally agree. Our primary focus should be to get this law abolished, be it by voting, protesting or making it senseless by countermeasures like yours.
My suggestion is a secondary course of action - if there is no other way, at least implement it in a way that doesn't give Big Tech control over all our info. If we had left the implementation of the web to corps 30 years ago, we'd all be watching a very elaborate and expensive TV right now. -
Its basically an unhandled Promise Rejection Error.

Yay, I am now a MongoBlockchain developer!

Ah, as long as the company shows the appropriate appreciation, I don't care how shitty the codebase is.
-
It is minimal. I used it as a base, but I have quite a few additional sassfiles built around it
-
Actually, I'm not half as opinionated as my username might suggest. I tried both, liked vue a little better for its single file components, used it and now I'm more fluent with it. End of story ;)
-
You can use my opinion instead: Vue.

Having overcome the same transition, as a dev, I will never go back to Qwertz - Suddenly [ ] { and } are suddenly on the fucking keyboard and don't need to be summoned by clicking Shift, alt, your firstborn son and a dragon's toe at summer solstice. The thousands if closed emails were totally worth it.

Working at Tesla, huh?

So it saves my favourite words. But if it's my favourite word, why would I have to look it up in a dictionary?
