@aaronswartz just do it.
Being uncomfortable makes you grow, who gives a shit if you get rejected. Move on to the next one. Surely one of them will find you charming.
Grow a pair and talk to them bud. -
Absolutely not, at least not with this client. I'd never take on another react client again. Jesus fucking christ nothing is worth this amount of confusion, and frustration.

@Cyanide library* I was angry at the time.

Take a deep breath, take a break.
Approach things rationally, make a list. One at a time.
Fresh air friend, fresh air. -
@darrenrahnemoon I disagree with this mindset, Life is much easier if you keep up to date with at least the latest lts version of things.
Sure it’s a pain in the ass to update for a one or two but I promise it’s much worse and much harder to update 100 new dependencies.
I work for a start up, and both of the clients we picked up have really REALLY outdated projects that we are banging our heads against the wall trying to bring up to date for performance, and security reasons. -
I graduated from a reputable maps school here in Nova Scotia, I didn’t take anything really related to Gis since I was in the programming course, but it’s really quite neat and way more involved than I had expected it to be.
Maps are cool. -
Hah. It’s funny because I finally cemented Linux as a primary OS, I did however partition a small section for windows in the event I wish to play games I otherwise cannot (yet) on Linux.
I’ve been running Manjaro primarily for the past 3 months or so but, installed Pop on my nvme drive.
Here’s hoping! -
Here is my pet turtle, Sierra, she turned two last week. 😊 I saved her from a waste water pond at my old construction companies asphalt plant when she was just an itty bitty turtle, no bigger than my thumb.

Python as a whole just seems like a mess to me. People idolize it as this amazing thing that can do anything, but when it is made to do something I find it does it… poorly, maybe I don’t understand it well enough. It feels like it does too much for me, and in its simplicity it to hard to follow.
The way i always phrase it is “it’s good for quick tasks and prototyping” but beyond that you’re almost always better off using any other language. -
If you’re looking for longer rides, definitely prioritize comfort. Your ass will definitely start to hurt otherwise.
You’ll probably get the best deal in late fall, people have had their fun just looking to get rid of their stuff. If you’re mechanically inclined at all you can probably get something pretty cheap that just needs to basic tlc and it’d be a great machine again. -
@sariel If you're using a 1-2-3 kind of scale I suppose yeah, but we use prime numbers which seems odd to me, but I'm not the boss.
I guess the equivalent would be a 6, which is still a lot. I make sub tasks as they come up, the thing is nobody really knows exactly what is required in making these changes. So I've been sort of paving the way, as it were. -
@Ranchonyx is that what idle games are?
