@kunashe just referring to the multipart content type. Most developers rely on mailer snippets, classes or whole frameworks to get the job done. It's good to understand the entire picture of how emails are actually put together for harder to debug issues.

Sometimes companies only give you enough time/budget for a hack instead of a proper fix. I doubt working for free or out of hours makes you a better developer, a better person, maybe..

I usually type "a" and if i need to see where the flow of code goes i step through the alphabet.

@BrianValente MailEnable not allowing delivery to non local addresses. As i slowly debugged my way through the error logs, control panel, service settings etc i found what needed to be changed. Normally i wouldnt have to do this so i wasted 1.5hrs on a job i have already quoted :(

Is.. is this ironic?

I love the irony that 404 is not in the list (even though you are ranting about it)

If you are freelancing and need to push projects out extremely fast, I would stick to PHP. C# requires time and proper specifications (that not all projects get) to the way the system works as it will be far harder to change for subsequent stages after release. This is of course initially, once you get on top of .net it will be easier to smash the jobs out.

Let them know they were hacked and send them some stress balls.

@Jumpshot44 In all honesty it can be quite powerful but i was using it in an extreme RAD environment and the architecture deserves more time and planning to get it right. Don't get me wrong though, all languages need proper SDLCs but scripting languages lend themselves better to those clients that fly by the seat of their pants.

Wow Cold Fusion hey? I havent even thought about that in a decade. Where is it even hosted, must be small pickings for server options?
