A good resource for public domain books, Librivox is where I get them. Their app is alright, but not that great
-
@Gorlami Last year's April fool's, displays the ++ counter (or upvotes/whatever) in binary
-
Congrats, treat it as a debit card, pay it off every month wherever possible, and you should be fine.
-
I got a Galago Pro with a HiDPI screen, love the thing, battery life is a bit eeh for what I use it for, might want to try their 1080p model when the current one needs to be replaced.
-
Uncreative TError?
-
You might have too much cat fur in the laptop, occasionally it gains sentience. Recommend cleaning out laptop, putting laptop back on the cat and getting back to whatever you're working on.
-
I use a git repo with my dot files symlinked to wherever they need to be
-
I've got a 3D printer at home, really need to get back into it. Been using OpenSCAD to make my custom models.
-
Wow, that went off on a tangent. Thanks for the entertaining/educational thread!
-
Interested, could contribute code, but IDK how much of that is needed.
-
Interested in possibly contributing, but haven't done that much with NodeJS.
-
100/35 in US, currently being bottlednecked by a 10/100 networking switch, need to upgrade it to Gigabit at some point
-
@Condor @Linux @stop What vps provider would you recommend?
-
UPDATE: Apparently it's not an April Fool's joke. Which I kinda like
-
Pretty much, only classes I took are high school Java, most of which I already knew or looked up.
-
I got one almost a year ago, the mail issue I have is that a lot of websites look at the browser being used to determine functionality, not, you know, the fucking functionality.
The number of sites claiming I can't use my key since I don't use chrome is ridiculous.
This might've changed since the last time I checked, but I doubt it. -
@smallTalker thanks for the link, but I'm in the US
-
@jhh2450 Good build quality, preferably aluminum housing, portability and battery life are the main areas I care about.
Trying to keep this under $1k -
I just use pass with it pushed to a private git repo
-
@RageBone I have a bunch of the same laptop model that I plan to modify for the project
-
@RageBone the idea is that all parts of the laptop (CPU, GPU, Display, etc) can be easily removed and replaced. For example, the display should end up with its own housing that can be easily removed from the rest of the laptop, allowing for a busted LCD to be replaced.

That's how I do my responsibilities as an officer in an after school event
-
If you want the bleeding edge, go for Antergos, do keep in mind things may break after an update. If you want a stable platform, both Debian or Ubuntu works well.

I've done C# . NET development on it... Slow barely covers it. Couple that with their sign in system depending on Internet Exploder (win 7) and you get a bloated development tool that takes V5 minutes to load up.
