I won't get too long here, but I feel like the mindset is part of the problem. The goal of being a boyfriend invites a lot more of the necessary introspection than just wanting a girlfriend.
-
@Fast-Nop I guess I was confused by the attitude some of the Rust community shows. This thing I found on Hacker News is a good example I think...

@Fast-Nop I thought the point of zero cost abstractions and macros were to make it more comparable to languages like C# without the overhead of the runtime.

@iSwimInTheC Not if SSH is setup correctly.
-
@iiii Yeah? You much prefer men then?
-
@iiii What's the red flag about being a woman? That they're not sexy men?
-
@iiii Seems pretty gay to me, bro

Without looking at your repo some config files are mistaken for code files. GitHub has kind of a Ruby bias because it's written by Ruby devs.
-
@Eklavya asp.net prolly
-
I love Golang myself but this is the first time I've seen error handling mentioned positively. If err is basically the same thing as try/catch

Don't call me out like this. I'm working on a world changing webapp... Eventually.

https://techempower.com/benchmarks/ These are languages and frameworks ranked by performance. But there's a caveat, Rails (the last place entry) has far better documentation, support, and way more job opportunities than the first place entries. Performance is a feature, but doubling your server budget is far cheaper than doubling your engineering budget.

That or some scammer is sitting there with 50 devices like "Shit. I guess I gotta get the new password."

CSS is hard

@synemeup Like WordPress it's a decades old PHP project but it's enterprise targeted so it's a lot more flexible but also a far more complicated code base for those on the developer side.
-
@Redd Yeah... You're both taking about two entirely separate things. Developing Windows only programs isn't bad but trying anything cross platform is a non starter.
-
Looks like your kernel popped...
I'll see myself out. -
I mean it helps to be a character in a science fiction show. I've not seen anything close to that in real life.
-
@NickyBones I don't see why hot girls and nerdy girls are mutually exclusive. :)
-
@PepeTheFrog Fork it!
-
I'm familiar with ENcoding in XML...
-
@epse You must have gotten through to them 😄
-
@epse Like it says, it's disabled by default. Why would you manually enable it to work on secret stuff?
-
Depends what you mean... PayPal is more likely to look trustworthy to the consumer, but stripe is less likely to fuck with your money.
-
@Hazarth The + is pretty standard

Not to defend trackers but you're probably detecting all the opt-out requests sent to every company they've ever shared data with. They can't just drop you from their database because a lot of analytics and advertising companies keep their own servers.

@yabbat Fuck, is there a record of the title change for paper trail purposes?
-
I'd suggest PowerPoint. I can't imagine a web based solution interacting well with Adobe's DRM.
-
@d-fanelli I just assumed it was some PHP framework I've never heard of.
