My laptop's pissing me off.

The screen kept flickering so I took out the frame, and checked the display ribbon cable. It was intact, so I put the frame back on and it was fixed.

But a few days later, it started flickering again. For some reason, taking out the frame and putting it back on fixes the issue. I have no idea why.

I'm glad it works, but it's irritating taking it out and putting it back on all the time.

I've installed Ubuntu for her something like 2 years ago, because her Windows installation was fucked up. After that 2 years she aksed me to install her new computer and copy the personal documents from her old computer.

So I backed up all her personal stuff like photo's and so on and asked her if she would like me to install Ubuntu again. Then she said that she would love to get Ubuntu again, because it was much cleaner and easier than Windows 😁.

So, from now on, my mom is using Ubuntu instead of Windows. That makes me really proud of her.

my dad's excavating some land so he can build a house, and he found a HDD buried out in the middle of fucking nowhere (50+ miles from nearest town in the middle of 10-house "village") -- no case, no wrap, just the drive. It works, but when we read it it was zeroed save for a few bad sectors that didn't take. Fuck linux and fuck nvidia... I am dual booting my laptop with win10 and manjaro, but I really want to be able to completely switch to manjaro and get rid of windows. The only problem I have is that it's literally fucking impossible to install the divers for my 1050ti properly. I've looked at several forums where people were having similar issues, I've watched youtube videos, I've tried everything but I can never get it right, something is always fucked. I don't even know where I should look for help...
