Oh lucky boy.

I just learned that today 🙊

Some devs really got zero soft skills 😂.
-
What got me into typescript? Well, our lead dev just introduced it without asking 😂.
We work with react in the front-end and I really love interfaces for all the components. It gives a good overview what is allowed to be passed. I can not imagine working on a large application without typescript anymore. It really helps scaling. -
@kamen it is definitely not everyone's dream.
But it is mine, too 😂 -
Thanks so far for the responses :)

@heyheni
Basically yes to all questions. -
React Native:
If you want to get started right now. Decent choice. Nice react view logic. Really dependent on third party npm packages, so take care here.
Flutter:
If you want to pick the brightest star at the hybrid framework market. People say it is easiest to use after getting started and scales well workflow-wise.
Ionic:
Worst option. Only viable in my opinion, if you want to go angularish with your code.
Just my 2 cents :). -
Did it, too. Even moved for the internship.
Best choice of my past year. Now I'm doing my internship at an amazing startup. Best reward I could get :).
We are to valuable to be treated badly. So thumbs up for you 👌 -
What s your point with atom? It s a nice text editor

I think I'll go for something image-board like. Maybe I'll implement deep learning later on to select displayed content based on the user with something like deeplearn.js :)
-
Trackballs ftw. Got the same mouse :3
-
I can recommend darktable.

@noogli @Skrambl
A nice read: https://searchengineland.com/tested...
Tldr: Google can index js generated html -
@Devnergy What are their advantages for that usecase?
-
What would be an appropriately approach to naming the colors?
-
Use whatever framework/ language you want. :)
-
Go do some art. Music or videos or paintings or whatever. Take distance from programming.
Time will tell you if and when you want to come back. :)
Why use your time on something you're not excited about? -
@jalebiBhai Can you develop native apps with Vue? Heard already several times that Vue shall be a nice JS framework.
-
@IndoDev Most of the standard native libraries can be accessed through expo.
The main advantage of expo is the fast getting started. You don't need to install xcode/jdk + android studio to get the app on your emulator/ phone running.
When you want to release an apk to the AppStore, you'll need to install jdk/ xcode though.
I'm still testing expo on my own currently, but it seems kinda fun to use. Another advantage is that if you use a real phone for developing you don't need to connect via usb to the PC, but you can connect via WiFi. -
Nice, have fun!
Expo made getting started a lot easier and includes most features an average app needs. It's setup is a lot faster for those who want a quick start :). -
@shellbug Good to know, thanks. Just tested it :p

@bittersweet I had to scroll up to upvote

Anything about usability?

console.log('test');

I think I will finish one more app within the next month and then start with unity. :)
-
Don't totally agree with that.
But I agree vr will not be spread as broad as other tech, it will be more niche. -
Went for a hike there, the nature is really awesome. Most Swedish understand English, the television is not translated, but only subtitled for example, one reason why they are above average English speakers. Had a decent talk with a grandma in English f.e. .
