But thats something your lawyer should tell you
-
Thats the moment you can pretty much force them to pay, they cant use the application and they are sued with all evidence in place, its a risk without reward situation, mostly following an apointment with theire lawyer that will tell you if you dont care about an admission of guilt you get the money and something up top so you dismiss the lawsuit.
-
@projektaquarius well you put in the contract that delayed payment is a violation of the contract, so you can sue and in the moment the case gets admissed to court you can in most countrys pull any evidence, in this case that product you delivered, out of service.
-
@kgbemployee thank you. In the aftermath I got how aggressive I was but got damit a quarter million euros a year are gone😩😩😩
-
@Cyanite well here we go, the "offensive" card got played.
-
@projektaquarius well we havent had any incidents like this before and i don't think this was a management issue. I mean she worked around this "issue" before with less sensitive clients, I just don't get why she thought that was a good idea.
-
@CoffeeAndHate really that disgusts you? You should really reevaluate your opinion on this matter. I'm a conservative but as long as they don't rub it in my face i'm a-ok with these kind of things. This "girl" is a heck of a dev and i'm glad to have her. Well not today I could kill her.
-
@projektaquarius well if you can behave and do your job you wouldnt have a problem with me, most older devs get these basic things from my experience. But nobody in this "company" (its more like a startup but i hate that term) is older than 30 so they tend to behave like savages. Im a chill boss but these things just let me burst out of rage, especially if it kills business we desperately need.
-
I dont have the qualifications, thats the reason i dont do the meetings. We got 2 guys tho who got top notch qualifications, they are practically the face of the company.
And everybody signed a contract which includes these requirements, and they're all well payed. Nobody makes less then 5K a month. -
And to the people who dont want to work for a "dictator" trust me if there isnt someone to keep you people in check the whole place falls apart. Someone has to play uncle tom or you people behave like savages.
-
Well, as you people dont exactly understand the problem here's some context: The girl(genetically a guy) didnt shave for atleast a week and showed up in a fucking pink dress. The clients where from a bit more conservative state (think something like middle east). We got fired because they didnt felt taken seriously, and that was a quarter million euros PER YEAR. that's something you devs-only dont get: money still needs to be earnt, just good code wont get food on the table. Business relationships are complex and very fragile. I dont complain about her showing up in the dress at work, it's still in the range of the bylaws, i complain about her not thinking twice what she was doing.
-
I dont have a problem, the clients do. Well, i dont like the woodcutter look.
-
And with professional work i dont mean websites or smth like that, mostly encryption. Had a lucky connection over a lawyer.
-
I never got a tech degree so i have to redo that, recently quit my job because i could now do this, im doing professional work since im 14.
-
@projektaquarius because we are just 5 people and do it security for govs and secret services etc. We sell good code, not graphics and user experience. Most of the time our clients are devs too and dev to dev works best in this case. And i am a joy to work for, if you dress appropriate.
-
Well in most countrys contract violation goes very fast if you've got a good contract. You just need to do it once or twice, then most company's will pay.
-
Sorry Algorythm if you see this mentioned the wrong one :D
-
@jamiek94 i'm in the Microsoft Workspace so if anything Typescript. Fuck babel.
-
@SmirkingBandit well he shows examples in COBAL, but we have to learn Assembler & C#....
-
@Shura its not even the plan of the school, this guy freakin writes COBAL on winXP and talks like a asynchronous javascript in 1999
-
@AlexDeLarge k then that, didnt listen exactly that moment, just knew we use that before ecma 5
-
One thing i can say: you may know that in the videogame industry they say:" you can only sell graphics!" ? Yeah i can sell good code and stable servers too.
-
I had to sign an nda so no details but trust me hes getting top shelf stuff, some good ol' xeons and shitload of ram
-
We start with c# and assembler
-
We're gonna work with a seperate class together those do design, its 19 + 18 people and we would just die without.
-
@ElsSnek yeah I teach them git from the beginning. I wont do source code merges with 19 people or more by hand xD
-
@Ashkin we cannot use any ci, closed source with classified information. We would have to clear everybody who works there.
-
@tahnik we got here like 3 computers, i dont want to waste one on a hackintosh. Just gonna tell my boss tomorrow he should by a macmini or so. The designer we got wanted one anyway.
