I've been wondering for a while about something...why do so many devs complain sooo much when they have to to stuff not related to their main area of expertise.
I like learning and trying everything if I have the opportunity...backend, fronted, database, dev-ops, crypto, networking, virtualization...I stuck my nose in everything...but I see a lot of people moaning and despairing when they are thrown out of their comfort zone.
Like why...it's interesting... it's not always sunshine and rainbows but knowing something new in IT is never gonna hurt you...who knows maybe someday it's gonna help you get out a tight spot or land that awesome job you wanted.

Had a conversation with an non-dev acquaintance today...he was telling me my job was in danger because of the rapid advance of AI...that soon the client will just specify what he needs and the AI will create it.
Yeah...just one small problem...the client never knows what he wants...as long as that client is human I'm pretty sure we're safe

UPS maintenance today in server room...they said nothing is gonna happen..30 minutes later massive blackout and some servers refuse to start...welp there goes my fukin weekend

O colleague of mine recently made a website about himself proudly declaring himself an "established website creater capable of making anything a client desires"....checked out his work...only wordpress with s*it ton of plugins...taking forever to load the simplest request...lord have mercy on the poor souls who hire him..

First week on the job...excited to start working after just finishing uni..they gave me a monster C# project that hasn't been modified in years...and all the devs that worked on it are no longer employed and the code has absolutely no comments.
And I'm supposed to learn it and modify it...fuck me this is gonna take a while.
