Finally got a job :D

Just finished my CNC.
Lots of problems but it works... More or less.
Need better steppers and other drivers. But I did it, learned a lot, did lots of mistakes, and don't get me started on debugging hardware...
Z axis unfortunaly can't even pull the motor up lol.

Side projects - Something you would like to spend more time on, but since you can't, you will never get them done.

Finally a solution tonthe long stand up calls

Today at school I borrowed an oscilloscope and a few capacitors and used a circuit I made at home to just demonstrate the discharge of a capacitor, since my physics teacher asked me to teach the class about this on Friday
So it's one of those old analogue scopes, so to get a nice line I turned the speed right down and did a long exposure shot with my phone and it turned out brilliantly!

Perhaps if we had as much devs as Google we could do it too. But we are 2 devs spread over 15 projects, so fuck off.

Just came across this wonderful video about Apache Kafka for building something real time and event based project.

Spent nearly 2 hours why the module/plugin on the system was not working. Delete the plugin. Get it from git. Nope. Restart all services, restart server. Still the same. No errors, nothing.

Realized that I had cloned the wrong git repository.

Fuck me.

It feels like recruiters do not even bother taking a look at your cv, "the third page", your website and your gitlab projects.
Why is that?

Pulled an all-nighter

35.5 hour sleep deprived, cameback home with takeouts

Let's pull the repo before i start eating.
Open the laptop and connect the charger while laying on bed.
*fell asleep and woke up 9 hours with laptop still running*

The worst part is that the problem i was trying to solve is still there.

Finally beginning to be fluent in vim and it is fucking god like !!!

To be able to give back to the open source world instead of just consuming
