Word of advice that I've not only learned from experience but also from other more experienced people than me

if you can't understand your own code after going away from it for a few days, it's probably bad code, or more specifically, unreadable.

Endeavor to create code that you feel someone else who has never seen your code before would be able to understand after a LITTLE looking around.

How do you play?
Looks like something I would play until my job made me sick and tired of seeing stressful amounts of unreadable and unintelligible lines of code that the company I work for uses because they are too cheap to update their software, in addition to having to work sleepless nights working on crazy, near-impossible deadlines that take the love I once had for coding and programming and just crushes it to a near infinitely-dense cube of confusion, rage, and stress, haunting my mind to the point where I dream about it in my sleep and can't escape it, until after years of psychological pain get somehow used to it and just succumb to the possibly false realization that I could be doing better and that I shouldn't even have to deal with these incompetent company leaders and co-workers, that do nothing but harass me on how to do something that takes not even 5 minutes of clear thinking to figure out.
(This is not me I just summed up what I usually read on devRant lol)

I like how people are getting a bit offended by someone's subjective point of view on Docker.

I read this whole thing, man, good for you for picking up a really audacious and challenging project for yourself. Amazing what anyone could do with code.

I don't know back end yet or databases, or even how to program something such as what you're trying to create, but it amazes me that one day, maybe, I can have the knowledge to do the same.

I really like this little 'practice' and I MAY implement it to my other projects. OBVIOUSLY, the code needs some rework such as renaming the classes, methods, and variables, in addition to just making it generally cleaner.

Although I don't have much experience myself, one thing I can say is to just learn the OOP concepts of the language you're learning (if it's OO).

If not, I'd say to just learn the average things needed to develop simple projects using the language. This can be from variables, loops, to methods and classes.

This is just my opinion, but I hope it helps!

I am 14 years old right now, and I am currently practicing and learning Java on Udemy. This rant literally made me imagine what it would be like to be in your shoes, a 20-year Software Engineer with loads of experience yet still humble enough to not be a jerk about their work and state how its the best. I wish there was a way (im new to devRant so idk) to save a rant so I could see it any time I wanted. Love this thing man and congrats on the years of work you put into what you do!
