@theruffus It is not about profit or him making the app for me. He was coming home disrupting me from my work and asking for help. It's about him having the nerve, after i stood two months without sleep to help him and to create something, to say he did it on his own, everything from idea to code, he dindn't code this app for me or to bring my idea to life, it was him saying his app was too basic to be real and disrupting me every day from work to help him so tell me who is not humble here please.
-
Especially when there was no fucking app without me, especially when I gave up my sleep to fucking help you. So no, he „coded” yes, but he never thought of a single fucking feature in it. I fucking got behind with my fucking projects for him. You would not have what to code in the first place if it wasn't t for me. AND ALSO, THE CREDIT FOR THE HOUSE ALWAYS GO TO THE ARCHITECT.
-
When I said design I do not mean how it looks, I mean literally everything that it does. If it were pointers or how it looks fine, no prob with it, I do this often for him. Also, my sister is an architect and some of my friends are writers, do you know what happens whenever I help them? I get credited for that. I helped one of my friends with her book, twice, do you know what she did? She gave me an entire page of credits because I gave her ideas and I told her what to change, and I asked her to cut it from the book because it was something „small”. BUT this is different, i did not give fucking pointers and „feedback”, I thought about every fucking feature from scratch in this case, mate. You may code it but I thought every god damn feature in it, I helped with every step especially with research, I fucking helped you to find and talk with the goddammit client because you were to „scared” to do it alone so no, do not fucking dare to come at me with „MY APP”.

@BadFox fair point, but I guess everyone has some luggage that comes to the surface once in a while.

@paranoidAndroid in any other circumstance I would agree with you, but I assisted him in every step. Also, there would be no app without me. To create literally an entire massive structure from zero, step by step and a workflow is not an easy-peasy thing. He basically did not think almost anything for it except the code.
I did not say he did not put any work in it but he will not have anything to sell or code if it wasn't for my ideas or me pushing him from behind to actually code it. Also, I told him what to tell the possible buyer step-by-step to get to the selling point. So... no, the code was not the hardest part of it. -
@rutee07 good choice. Oh well, at least I got a bottle of Glenfarclas (25 years) and a month free of house chores.

@Mitiko Thanks, a lot! I came across that link the thing is ... I had to find then translate it in my native language and give the info in short and in a way so everybody, even the ones that didn't finish school to understand it. It took me a while, mostly because it was a hell to find the scientific terms in my native language.

@heyheni
Thanks, a lot, I finished my article yesterday. But my biggest problem was that I can't go with paragraphs that explain one thing (even tho it's relevant), I had to put it very short. I`m paid per word and my manager has some trust issues, I don` t know why he thinks every content writer tries to screw with him and his money so I had to keep it very short, like 10 words short. -
@Vip3rDev well I usually do this, but in this case is about a god damn nose (BassetHound). I first had to find the word for that in my native language ( took me 2 h) then I had to go on some shady websites to find how that work in biology, then I had to understand all of that and put it in a way so everybody can understand that. My brain is overloaded right now (sorry for my English, but at this point, my brain has stopped working.)

@PonySlaystationI l live with a dev for some time now (7 years) so I know how frustrating it can be on both sides. There is no point in the design vs function war.
I learned I have to think more about the platform my design is on than the design itself. -
@Floydian thank you!
-
For me, it's the other way around...
I mean I finish a full website design in a week or 2 and my devs are like „oh, we have time”
sometime later aaaaaaand the client is pissed.
The main problem is that most people do not understand one thing: what looks nice and shiny in PS has a 50% chance to look like crap on the web (no matter what you do) so we have to remake it together, shoulder-to-shoulder, designer-dev.
So, I learned to ask my devs to do the darn functionalities first and then we will work on the design. But even like that they have that „meh” attitude that set the project back.
