@Barookh yup same experience.
Mine's hdmi port it's still up and running. I hope you can fix that! -
@Barookh awesome! How do you like it? I have one too for some months and it's the best laptop I've had!
-
Gigabyte aero 15w?
-
I think I used that book on a college class some years ago, but still no 4th edition 😐
-
@amahlaka yup, this hasn't been in the news... At least in my country.
-
Where did you buy them from?

I know the feeling! Normally I try not to add a gem without having a strong reason to use it. Too much dependencies can fuck you in the ass later on, but that's always a gamble. So I guess it's a matter of how well and regularly the gem is maintained.

@DataSec I would say that my job is "my main project" 😁. But yes, my side project is an Hanami app that manages book orders and clients. Basically something to help my father's orders and other data more accessible to him.

Bike shed, software engineering daily, hanselminutes, full stack radio and the change log. These are the ones that I have on my list. Bike shed is the only that I listen every week. The others depends on the episode topic, but they're very good. You get talks about software, programming languages and also about the developers and engineers.

@AntaresStar if you like Ruby and Slack, here's something that could help: https://revs.runtime-revolution.com/...
-
I agree with @Root. The gems system should be quite simple, what was the problem?
-
Portugal!
-
Great beer! Is that the 75 cl bottle? Can't find that version on my country 😞
-
@Creedo I guess so 😅
But I'm just giving my two cents. The only unusual thing is the coincidence of on the same day that I hear about the company, they contact me -
@gorsamp I'm sorry that you have to deal with that, but what you described isn't not even close to a description of me or my fellow less experienced team mates. Also, I think you've misinterpreted my rant. I was ranting about the focus on a detail that wasn't crucial at that point. And if you've to know, yes I didn't double clicked at the time because I was more concentrated into explain my problem. And I really like my team leader and appreciate all his constructive criticism.

"Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard." src: https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/...
Not exclusive of coding, but I think it's valid 😀 -
Why is ruby so high?! 😕
-
Thanks! Those seem to be all viable options, but I need to take a better look. I'll keep you posted on my decision and maybe post a printscreen 😁
-
Damn that's gorgeous 😯
-
@linuxxx I don't do it every single lunch break, but it is one thing that I do that I consider unusual at least in my context 😁
-
@RodrigoF obrigado por existires, mais pessoas deviam tentar ajudar. Força e boa sorte!

Some running, normal exercises(pull-ups, push-ups, etc), football (soccer), padel and I used to do bodyboard.
-
I should try bring my laptop in my next trip!
-
@Meta Yes, I agree thta should be avoided. I mainly use to correct simple mistakes on a last commit such as typos, or simple stuff that don't really need a whole new commit.

@plusgut Long story, but we had a PR for the parent repo and just a branch for its submodule. The submodule's branch had a schema update that was needed for some other PRs. The update PR for the parent repo was merge, but no one detected the PR-less submodule's branch with the schema update. Some PRs based on the first were ok and had the update, but a more recent PR was failing even though it was the same as master. Turns out the parent repo master branch was pointing to the updated submodule's branch and the failing PR was pointing to the submodule's master branch (didn't had the update).
An afternoon lost... -
Am I the only one that uses --amend in these cases?
Just an anticipation move 😁 -
Pure evil!
-
Congratulations! I myself got my first ruby/rails a little over an year ago, enjoy 😉
-
Simply awesome!
