I usually learn the stuff by looking up the official documentation, trying to implement some common use-case and looking for more specific information if I encounter an issue. That's how I did it with .NET Core for my internship

This approach might work for personal to very small scale projects but the courses I'm in atm would have me invest quite some time in planning ahead inatead of just starting to code right away

So I am aline with the opinion that dynamic typing ia annoying as hell? I really dislike not knowing for certain what kind of result a function/method returns. Especially in JS there is so much liberty and since nobody ever wants to write doc you need to look at the code to determine a functions output which might be simple, an array of sorts or even some weird object

@siksik Okay reddit seems to be Python in its entirety. With Software Product I meant something one would download and use locally though. In that case I'd consider Python primarily a web lang. Java on the other hand I'd say is more useful in multi-platform use cases

I love the idea behind Java even though it has its flaws. I get why so many people like Python but I personally have never seen any big Software Product that is built mainly on it in contrast to Java.

@Romulus10 PowerShell is powerful, yes but those Cmdlets are horribly clunky and hard to remember so that I wouldn't want to write a script without the ISE
