There are so many options to pimp my linux system. Is there any point in time, where I will be finished customizing/prettifying my linux? I highly doubt.
BTW.. what is the best way to backup the whole config? (color schemes, themes, gnome extensions)2 -

Two days left until I finally start my first job in IT. Have had an adventurous journey through the mechanical and electronical world throughout my education, but I think, I will finally arrive, when I start this new challenge.1 -
As a linux and hacking beginner, I am amazed how much I learn about linux while looking for ways to solve hacking challenges.
It is like learning something while learning some other thing. (Yeah I like learning)7 -
So here I am, analyzing a binary file for a small hacking challenge, asking myself what the hell am I doing. As if 13 hours at school weren't enough.8

What is your solution if you are completely out of motivation? I can't get my ass up for anything atm. Feeling like I'm trapped in a hole.2

The three indicators you have spent to much time on devRant while being on the toilet:
0: You reached the post from the last day.
1: Your legs fell asleep.
2: You forgor whether you have to wipe your ass or not.2 -
What I learned in the machine learning course so far, all the Buzzwords can be replaced by "statistical mathematics".5

Since I switched from Windows to Ubuntu 18.04LTS my laptop battery is draining faster than before. Are there any usual settings I can make, to improve battery life?2
-
Welp. Fucked up my system trying to install a dual boot. Guess I will only have linux now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯8

We got a binary clock at our trainstation. I love it, but most of the people think it's wasted money because they can't read it.66

Guuuys! I made it! I just got my first job in IT as a Junior Sys Admin at a Security/Pen Testing company. So happy right now. Just wanted to share with you. :D8

So I'm trying to get used to linux. Is there a site or something with tasks, so you can practice the most common linux tools?2
-
Just got invited to an interview as Junior Sys Admin of a hacking training platform. This could be my first job in IT. Woop woop.

Recently started using Linux for software development and it is waay easier to get things done than on windows. As a beginner in CS and a total Windows person, I am beginning to really enjoy Linux. I will definitely install a dualboot on my Laptop for the new semester in school.7

WTH. My TV, with a plugged in chromecast, just turned itself on and played music that definetely was not mine.
First thought was, that someone got into my network and was jerking around. A little later I figured out, that my mom started the playlist on her phone and somehow it triggered my cast und turned the TV on.
Seriously WTF4 -

Wanted to share a project with you, which I heard about at a Python Conference I attended.
It's a Raspberry based Hacking Station to educate and sensitize students about data privacy. The amazing thing about the project is, that it is a graduation project from a high school student.

This is not an ad or something, I was just amazed by the talk and the idea of the project and wanted to share it with you.1
