My answer is the left button which is on the right and means the top. Super clear nothing to see here 🤣
-
LinkedIn is good for recruiters finding you.
If it's the other way around where you're finding the job then LinkedIn isn't important -
The above works but does my head in. Just do this
If (thing?.field != null) {
So many problems like this where sure the longer one works but it's ugly and more annoying to understand -
This is so real for me right now
-
@electrineer haha yup this company likes to use commit messages like
"Issue #11743 PROD FIX...!!!"
and I have seen the wrong issues listed more than once -
We are working alongside another development company and feels like they manage to come up with a new way to annoy me every week. This one at least gave me a good laugh while annoying me
-
I'm basically trying the same thing at the moment, it is not going nearly as well 😅
-
20% seems rather significant. Your PM worries me
-
@dindin God don't get me started on the enter key. I can't take it when another colleague does this:
if (thing) {
// do something
}
else {
// something else
}
when it is so much nicer to do
} else { -
Because dev and gaming machine is all in one
-
My Nexus has stopped working properly so I went back to my Samsung s3 mini and boy is that thing slow, far too painful to get anything done when even typing lags behind. Perhaps a complete reset would help it but I'd rather stick to my modern technology thanks
-
Amazing. And so true.
I now have multiple youtube accounts so I can get specific content on each one, for example one for just watching racing videos. It is annoying. Do I need to do this with every feed/recommendation based website? 😣
It's incredible that we've reached such a point with technology that was supposed to make it easier for find content your interested in -
I'm safe cus I use wifi so don't need those cables
🙃 -
I'm just sitting here waiting for the fallout with all the people he dissed 😆
-
Depends what you know already but in general kotlin. It's nicer and seems to be the future for Android
-
Machine learning is epic
The current state of machine learning is only at the kinda cool stage but it's the potential future of machine learning that is truly amazing and worth getting hyped about -
The icons themselves are great but it seems Google didn't even try make them work nicely with the adaptive icon system they created for Android. As others have said the white circle ruins them
-
I've worked on an app that had a "coming soon" popup on one of it's features for like 6 months (ever since it's first release). Annoyed me so much but they kept it there for symmetry.
The feature was never built and eventually was replaced with something different 😕 -
Capitalism means they totally do need more money, it's just the sad way the world works these days.
But really of course they're ad spamming you so they can make money. Maybe they just don't have actual ads to play you (because ad pocolypse and what not) so they use the upgrade to premium as a fallback
But on the real for a second your totally right they are super annoying -
Apparently I don't learn 😆
Clicked cmd+r which is run in the ide's I use but of course reloads the page in safari and I lose my progress 😣 Thankfully I was saving as I went this time so didn't lose everything 😅 -
@spongessuck clearly devRant needs more of these popups to inform people about the ability to updoot if people like you don't even know what updooting is 😆
-
Every time you use a new technology it's like this, feels like your wasting time till you start to learn it a bit more and then quick progress can be made and you'll be asked to move onto another new technology
-
That is painful to read. I can't even imagine a whole class full of that rubbish
-
Where can I get one? Better yet where can I get a duck version
-
"We'll get SVN when the project is finished" 🤨
-
@silverstar I had a good laugh at this, that's probably what it was 🤣
-
Reviewers are dicks. We get a lot of one stars on our app because you can only login with Facebook (admittedly worse than not providing Facebook login but interesting it works both ways). One review said we installed a virus on their lock screen 🤦 some people are dumb
-
Yeah I love the idea of TDD but the hard part for me is writting tests for things like UI or networked components etc. I know it's possible I just haven't learnt the testing technology enough and struggle when I try learn it
