@jeeper At a quick glance I confused your bird for a ponytail. Might need to get some sleep soon...
-
Can't find it in the female styles either. Ponytails are so convenient though

Younger
Funny, most of the people that respond are younger. I now actually wonder what the average age is here... I thought 30-35 would be average. -
Soon after my last comment my z5 compact ended up in the water and was not turning on anymore. I've bought the XZ2 Compact to replace it. It's a little taller unfortunately but it works great and I can operate it with one hand. I'm really happy with my new device too.

We might be going next summer, I know what I want to take home as a souvenir!
-
@Koroshi After reading this I definitely think you have nothing to worry about. Instead, you have already done some research, they should be happy about that!
-
Unless you overstated your skills in either your resume or your interview you shouldn't worry. They wanted to hire you even without your diploma, so they willingly took a 'risk'. You should only worry if you don't show any progress after making mistakes. As long as they think you care and you can prevent making the same mistakes again, they'll most probably be happy to keep you.
Best of luck with your new Job! -
I also prefer smaller smartphones, since I like to put it in my pockets, and female jeans pockets are tiny. Currently I'm using the Sony Xperia Z5 compact (it's two years old), which is basically the only not iOS device which has a smaller display but has a number of the more high-end specs. It's literally the only device that came close to what I wanted at the time.

Everyone has the right to the same amount of vacation days. If what you ask for is in line with your rights you shouldn't worry. The ones working overtime should either get paid for their hours, or be allowed extra days off. Or at least, that's how it's supposed to work I guess.

C# /.NET programmer, I'd love to move towards .NET Core, but I'm afraid it will take some more time for companies to adapt to that...

Mathmatics is very useful if you want to develop algorithms or realistic games. However I don't think you need it that much as a regular software developer. I only have a basic understanding of math and actually only had one math subject and three subjects on algorithms when I was getting my bsc, which was only since I did a minor with a gaming component.
I do not miss any mathmatical skills during my daily work though, since it often just comes down to building a self service portal of some sorts. -
You don't know untill you try... I have been with a developer for over 5 years now and we are still very happy. However, we are both not people who code non-stop. He does like to work on raspberry pi stuff occasionally, but I'm not really into that an we are both fine with that. I do know another developers couple that is engaged right now.
It really just depends on the two developers that would be together, but it's just as good of an option as any other and most certainly not impossible! -
Congratulations!

So happy to finally have found other devs that just need water! Every one of my colleagues can't seem to understand or feels the urge to comment on it a few times before they just let me drink my water...
