Hi @linuxxx can you also send me invite to linux open source group chat? I would really like to participate 😊 Username:RokKos
Thanks in advance 👍 -
I was looking at code and thought to myself why would you compare God to number... But then I read on and found out that is short for "godina" which in Croatian means "year" and laught my pants of 😂
Lijep pozdrav iz Slovenije 😉 -
OMG!!! Such an amazing lyrics 🤓 I sang it in my head and they made perfect sense and the rhythm was right 😉 respect man you really made my day with this song 👍
This could actually be anthem for developer 😉 -
Hi cool tip. But do you know why that works?
-
@tankerkiller125 Thanks for the info 😉 yea I have 8GB of RAM. But I am thinking if it even pays of because sublime is really fast and I have a lot of customizations and plugins. Maybe I will give CLion a try sometimes just to see if it pays of.
-
Done I hope my feedback it helps you. Good luck 😁
-
@Artemix Will definitly look into CLion 😁
Just one question how heavy it is? I am just asking this question because I use ultrabook and don't have so much power and memory to spare.. -
Maybe try Korora (https://kororaproject.org) its based on Fedora. Its very user friendly and has cutting edge technology. It's not rolling release like arch but new realeases are coming every 6 months and every version is supported for 13 months. For me that is really good because I don't need to worry if next update breaking system (potentially could but less likely than with arch). It's kinda mix between stable and cutting edge.
I used before Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu Arch, Manjaro, Fedora and now I am using Korora with XFCE and I couldn't be more happy.
Because for me Korora have all the good side of Fedora and also have all not free software that I need for my development. -
Wow what a sad story.. such a waste of your time and talent.. I wish I could help you in any way.. while I was reading your story I almost felt your pain and anger.. really good rant you deserve big ++
-
@Haxk20 Thanks mate 😁
-
What a dev-criminal story 😀 congrats 😁 you got me hooked to the end 😁 you really got a talent 😁 but midway through story I thought that you team leader is tripping over wire and unplugging server every time but the end really surprised me.. it came from nowhere 😁
-
Top class rant 😁 and my sincere condolences for all your wasted time that you with him..
-
I did it 😊 super happy 😎 now I am going to sleep 😁 its 2.30 am at my place..
-
@jjhiza Thanks for the answer. I didn't hear about this distros but I will check them out. Really useful information.
By the comments I am judging that Arch would be the right distro to go with 😉 -
@jshwkxneiwbd But changing desktop environment only changes look of distro but not functionality and usability. Its true that every desktop environment has its own benefits and maybe some useful functionalities but it still doesn't change core.
I looked at i3wm and looks super cool I will definitely try 😉 Thanks for advice and I hope that it will be a great experience. -
@Qchmqs Thanks will absolutely check before trying 😉
-
@snakebyte @sachin38 @sam0 Thanks for every advice. You really inspired me to try Arch Linux. I will definitely look on arch wiki before doing installation.
And only because of safety reasons and practise I will first try it to install on Virtual box or on old machine. -
That would be super handy 😉 double ++ for this feature request 😊

@redstonetehnik Hi there 😉 there are quite some of us on devRant. This are some of my friends and ones that I come across: @DefaltSimon @klemenkeko @bukovles @MapleTheGreat
-
I almost didn't go to sleep because of this task. Nice challenge.
I look forward to new ones :D -
@TheGeekyGuy Why do you hate it? I mainly use it for developing in Unity (on windows). It works fine for me now. But for other programing stuff I use Atom on my linux computer.
I want to hear you experience with visual studio and maybe any other replacement for it. -
@TheGeekyGuy I didn't say that you are but somebody else could use this technology in that way.
Interesting 😉 -
@TheGeekyGuy hahahaha laught so hard at this story. I have nothing against hacking if it is done in right way and that is only for fun. But your story could turn in blackmailing or something like that... I don't approve that kind of hacking...
Just curious what kinda of fetish did he had? (If it is not to confidential) -
@TheGeekyGuy Nice to hear that. But since that day when I saw her so pissed off and I realized how much damage and pain I created I totally left hacking. Now I try to create software that helps people or entertain them (games).
-
@ebourgess I will try to recreate it.. screenshots would be really helpful 😉
-
@ebourgess Thanks for feedback. I am really glad that you like it 😉 I will keep you posted on development. Can you describe how it happened? Did you click near you?
