Today is my first day as back-end developer in a big e-commerce company (MercadoLibre). I'm really excited.1

Learning Go. How I didn't learned it before? It has the efficiency of a low level language with the beautiful syntax and abstraction of a high level one.4

Knowing how to write doesn't make you a writer. Knowing how to program doesn't make you a programmer.9

Translation:
"According to Xiaomi, the U-Disk (Xiaomi's new USB drive) has UDP technology that prevents damage by splashing and dust."
HOW A TRANSPORT PROTOCOL CAN'T PREVENT THAT?
What's next? "The new notebook has HTTP technology that makes it waterproof."7 -
There's a spending machine in my job that uses a tablet with an app as the interface. I downloaded Spotify, put some music and switch back to the app. It's funny to see the people trying to find where the music came from.15

I did a simple bar graph to show the status of a db migration. Each bar is a computer with a db file. As I was bored waiting, I added a King Kong hanging from the longest bar.8

What keyboard do you use/recommend for use with Termux on Android? I use Hacker's Keyboard but the layout it's ugly.6

I like when the changelog in PlayStore's apps says "Fixed errors and performance improvement" and the main errors are still there and the performance is worse.

I bought a Mi Band 3 4 days ago and I already modified the firmware. I hate when the manufacturer limit functions of software when the hardware it's very capable.6

The display of the candy machine in my job works bad. At least the manufacturer it's honestly with that name...4

Hey! Someone worked with Google Apps Script? I don't find a comfortable workflow. The web editor sucks, I can't install clasp because I can't use npm in my job. Any suggestions?

People! Do you know if there is something similar to gulp and modules like minify, uglify, smooth, etc (for HTML, CSS and JS) that runs in Python instead of nodejs? I can't install nodejs/npm in my job because "open source software is dangerous" :)10

I found every book of Arduino a total waste of money. There are lots of courses free and a lot of documents, projects in Instructables or Hackaday to start to learn. I say it as a teacher and course/document writer.

I'm so fucking depressed. I've get 100/100 and 96/100 in the lastest exams but I can't keep going to the university because I don't have money to travel from my home to the building. I have to throw away my career and knowledge. I don't find a job in this fucking country.
Sorry for boring you with my shit, I had to write it.13 -
I've got a teacher (math) in the university that let us use our phones as a calculator in the exam but without sim card and of course no wifi. I've spent a few hours programming a very ugly CLI app which let me calc and show me the steps of every type of exercise.
Another probe that programming can save your ass.
The exam wasn't difficult but basically they tell you to solve a few problems applying different methods, that hasn't advantage from others.8 -
1) Install Debian 9
2) Select GNOME
3) Hate GNOME
4) Uninstall GNOME
5) Install LXDE
6) Love GNOME17 -
People, please understand
1GB != 1024MB
1GB == 1000MB
1GiB != 1024MB
1GiB == 1024MiB
The MebiByte, GibiByte, KibiByte and others "biByte"s were defined at the end of XX century. How can be possible that people (I mean people which study/teach informatics, electronics or something similar) still don't know what is it?16 -
Probably this was asked before many times but I want your updated opinion.
1) What is the best Linux distro you used? Why?
2) Do you still use it? If not, why?
My answer:
1) Debian. Because I find it very comfortable and it run in Raspberry Pi and other small computers. It has the software that I usually use and it's very light.
2) Yes but not as my main OS because the lastest version of software that I use weren't updated yet (and probably they won't update them on a short time). I had to move to W10 as my main OS.5 -
I bought a keyboard 3 months ago for 4usd.
Feels and works better than my old mechanical keyboard of 60usd.2 -
Probably it will sound strange or slow to you but my ISP upgraded to optical fiber and now I got 50Mbps from 20Mbps that I had before. I downloaded 1GB file in 3min. I'm so fucking happy.15
