We're using VPNs to still work from home. I was getting used to the quiet Gautrains, but working from home has it's perks
-
@SnowGuard oh you now, a bit of Coolmath Games here, a bit of Purble Place there
-
And playing a game on the second screen during standup
-
Looking at your monitors on my monitors, that are the exact same model. Pretty cool
-
@C0D4 I'll be forced to take sick leave xD
-
Ours doesn't think it's bad enough, even though most of us use public transport. We catch the train on the way from the airport (the airport where all the people with corona in SA landed). Scary stuff...
-
A Dota major got canceled. These tournaments need the finals to be LAN (live and in the same area) to make sure not cheating happens. That part can't happen due to the pandemic. I get where you're going, but we're not there yet.

@Root Open Source Society University. Seems like a course or thing that uses a lot of other courses to teach you computer science-y things for free. Decided I'll be doing it on the side for fun. Can't hurt
-
I'm going to try this tomorrow! Thanks for the idea :D
-
@Ythenius I know its a common problem in companies that aren't software first. But in your case I don't know.
-
Is this company a software company first or does it just have a software department?
-
We're also not using a proper version control system. We basically yell at each other to find out who's using what file and the pray we don't overwrite each other's things. Sad stuff
-
A while ago, I spent some money on decent headphones. Going back to my old headphones/earphones suck!
-
I think it's a cool idea. I like working a night, but having my nights free (especially Friday night) is still cooler.
-
@jbrandona119 Oh that's sick! I'll keep it in mind next time someone asks me. Thanks :)
-
I'm also waiting for a delivery... The excitement is killing me...
-
@jbrandona119 They have a website where all the content is free (I think). I haven't looked into the udemy course, but I'd imagine you're paying for someone to help you understand what your doing.

I work with jQuery every day of the week, and I wouldn't know what to answer...
-
FreeCodeCamp has some videos on in on Youtube. Nothing very advanced, but gets you going. Actually, Youtube in general is good for learning most languages
-
Only like half of our department has laptops. The rest are on desktops. Working from home is not an option for us
-
Stay safe :)
-
@PublicByte Travel agency. This virus has been horrible for us
-
@Jilano Even in these niche subs there are reposts and dumb stuff. So no, I'm not saying the food is bad, I'm saying maybe we're having too much of the same food every now and then.
-
I have a love/hate relationship with Reddit. Sometimes it's fun and filled with cool stuff, other times it's reposts and 'edgy' stuff.
-
@rutee07 Trips are getting cancelled left and right. I feel bad for consultants and people in sales. Can't be nice
-
Having the option is amazing though.
-
I heard it's quite bad. My CIO had a trip there that got cancelled. Good luck and stay safe that side
-
@Stuxnet I tried getting into MMA. None of my friends care/like it. Maybe I should try again!
-
I'll use this next time some youtube "boxers" are having a fight. Could save some money lol
-
@Strazil Nope. There's one more react-guy out there now
