I do contracting for different companies who get too much work on their hands and a deadline on their ass, and it’s always a trip to see how amateurish some of their developers are.

Like who the fuck names a major variable ‘abc’ or ‘xyz’ !!!!

Also they clearly don’t know how to ask equivalence if statements as I got a chain of if else statements that were written like

if (decision>0 && decision<2)
//Code
else if (decision>1 && decision<3) ...etc

I DID IT! I got my first co-op job!! I’ll be starting in the fall and I’m super excited 🤩
Finally I’ll get to do real work and I’ll get to see just how far schooling has gotten me.

Gotta admit I’m a tilt bit worried I over sold myself in the interview but we will cross that bridge when we get to it 😅

I’ll also finally have some real rants soon enough 😏😅

I’m looking for a little input on a project I’ve had in my head for a while.

I want to make a schedule app that would cater to personal, work and school schedules alike, and give points or rewards for completing tasks on time. Like a reward kind of system.

What features would you most look for in a schedular / reminder app?

I love it when a coding assignment is to take the last assignment and do one thing more optimized !!! 😄😄

All the hard stuff is already done and all I have to do is some optimization that I’ve done before in other languages and just have to implement in this one 😄

Well after 3 days of fighting with C I finally got my assignment done ✅ :D the assignment was simple and would have taken me like 5h max to do in Java( which is my first and most proficient language).

However I was away from class for a while and subsequently had to code the project while teaching myself about C and pointers .🤖

This is why we don’t skip school kids 😄

P.S It surprised me how many other people were in the schools lab at 2AM to push the assignment to the local git 😮

So glad summer courses are over!!! And now that I did them I get to be ahead of everyone else who has to take them in September!!!

Debugging at school: intently stares at screen and mutters menacingly under breath. Classmates think I'm super intense and avoided me.

Debugging at home: yells nonsense at computer about how I'm right and it's wrong until brain kicks in and tells me why computer is right and I'm an idiot. Neighbours think I'm a crazy psycho :P
