@frogstair ahha thanks for the response mate, it seems to be many that feel the same way ! I really enjoy working around the backend of things. It feels satisfying knowing a result is correct 😅🤓
-
@electrineer you're absolutely correct, I did ask them a fair few questions so I could see if it would be the place for me :)
-
@aviophile ahah good one xD thanks for the response mate.
-
@Fast-Nop Hey fast
Thanks for getting back to me mate, To be honest, this was an experience for me , however got me the wrong way - I answered vaguely, salary was mentioned before via another source and was already quite low, I gave the other source feedback and mentioned that I don't think this might be a place for me :-) Just wanting to say I really appreciate everyone's time to read and comment :-) -
@AlmondSauce Hey mate,
thanks for getting back to me, yes it was a first screening after seeing & talking to two recruiters, other questions were basically about what i do in my spare time and some small questions about company and role. :-) - Though to be 100% honest, I let my recruiter know that i feel that this place wont be for me, going by gut feeling (tho could i be wrong?) :-) cheers. -
@C0D4 aha not a worry :D - i must say this project is something i'm really proud of :')
-
@C0D4 Thank you mate :D i will read into this shortly and try to implement something :-) once again thanks for taking the time to give me a hand :D - i'll do another post once i feel its good enough!
-
@C0D4 good thought, so maybe i should have an if statement like 1 for pie, 2 for bar , 3 for all?
-
@C0D4 Ah i see - so do you reckon i should display both Bytes and GB like this? or do you think its good as is? :)
-
@C0D4 Awesome! - once again cheers mate :-), apart from whats listed above, anything else you would add to it? :D - once i get a good few things added to it - ill ask the community to let me know what they think :D thank you
-
@C0D4 thank you my friend 😄 once again I very much appreciate your help and the time you have taken to have a look at it for me 😊 - quick question, do the numbers look all correct? :) Cheers
-
@MagicSowap thank you my friend 😄 I appreciate you taking the time to read through the code and I also appreciate the feedback as it's important for myself however harsh it maybe :) - I need to learn one way or another :) cheers
-
@C0D4 I actually did not know it worked on phones :-), it was mainly meant to be for my macbook and PC but why not? :D cheers
-
@LoganDark my bad :'D
-
@C0D4 Thank you for trying it out for me mate :-) i'm doing the best i can to work on it piece by piece, so things aren't exactly wonderful but i am enjoying the process, so i thought it would be a great idea to ask through here also :D
-
@C0D4 thank you for giving it ago mate :-) i tested it on my macbook and it works :'D give it a go later mate and let me know :D cheers
-

@seluard will do mate :-) sorry for the newbie questions

@C0D4 Wonderful! is there a way i can share this with you and you could possibly give me feed back? i'm currently just lone wolfing this project myself ahah :-) cheers
-
@seluard Thank you mate :-)
-
@C0D4 I like this mate! thank you :-) however I'm not exactly sure how to update in real time - cheers! :-)
-
@M1sf3t Yes sir absolutely :-)
-
@metamourge I see - and also thank you for the kind response :-) - though i often see people saying that i'm able to make changes to the software that ubuntu comes with? for example maybe the control panel at the top of the screen :-)
-
@alexbrooklyn Ah i see - i appreciate the kind response mate :-)
-
@bahua Hi Mate :-) i appreciate the kind comment - id like to also say sorry for my late response, i've got 16GB ram on my PC and its quad core - what i've done is allocated 8GB worth of ram onto my VM (This is my only VM) i've also given it an extra core since, meaning i'm using two cores out of 4 - after giving it the boost ive noticed a significant improvement on my machine :-) but i also appreciate your info you have given me, its my first time using linux and really new to all the keywords but really eager to learn :-) cheers. !
-
@netikras Hi mate :-) i appreciate the kind comment, i seem to have fixed the issue - what seemed to be the problem is that i might have not given enough RAM or perhaps maybe an extra core - so i went into the settings of my VM and just added more - now it actually works better :-) cheers
-
@ScriptCoded Thank you for the kind response mate :-) understood, ill just have to go with that option then, and also thanks to everyone else :-)
