took me four seconds to get
-
@homo-lorens GPT-3?
-
death by best practices?
-
sucks man, 10x is a toxic myth but hope you find a better job that cares about code quality soon.
-
mermaid and plantuml!! :)
-
how to deflect responsibility and be a hero at the same time. masterful tweet
-
Replace Angular with React and C# with Kotlin and I agree 😄 weird to be so happy considering current events tho
-
@SortOfTested yeah I went to look at his Twitter again after posting and he literally has "did not make React" in his bio. Did not correct myself because I said "more or less. Or at least..." anyway. Still admire him, sorry 🙂🐸
-
Also the dudes that made Dwarf Fortress. Also John Carmack, for obvious reasons.
-
+ why?
-
what? I learned javascript in 3 seconds and then all the other languages in the following 5, in my sleep, with my hands tied,
-
@stacked I did not find what I wanted to find

@CodeTalker you know, when comments stop being up to date with the code. like "knowledge rot".
but this not a thing devs say, and so I got "how to, burp" -
I do feel like a dumbass sometimes but that's because my coworkers fill the hole in my brain where the stuff about devops and sysadmin is supposed to go. but I'm a dev anyway so I just tell myself I'll learn about it later 😅
-
I got it last night and I thought I had introduced a backdoor in my own tablet... thank god it's just an international corporation's ineptitude
-
don't worry, as long as you don't have the hood over your head...
oh, you do -
"Git and CI with TDD"
but really TDD doesn't have anything to do with CI apart from "has to do with tests"
just sayin -
I don't think it's envy so much as the frustration of looking at a wall of undecipherable code with nobody to help you
-
you're kinda throwing the baby out with the bathwater when you don't like gamedev because of advergames... but it was a good read and I'm happy for you :)
-
@-eth Agreed, those would be firmware or hardware programmers. Frontend, backend, server guys, etc. only learn the basics in programmer school and never use them, aside from the powers of two. Even hardware people could get by with mostly using opcodes, so [programmer == speaks in binary] is almost never true.
-
you do know that "simpleton" is an insult, right? 😂
-
This flowchart, while informative and containing beautifully drawn coffee pots, could better apply the DRY principle (imo).
-
Indeed, all programmers program in binary and/or it is second nature to them. This joke is not propagating 50 years old stereotypes about programming...
-
I do this too! I think it's OK if you also write in an expiration date.
-
No alt+shift+arrow key? I wonder how awkward the several minutes it took to undo that overkill redundant prank were...
-
I snorted at the refreshing ass line
-
The artist drew a left hand there but corrected it by drawing a thumb 😂
-
It's because the news of Leo's Oscar hadn't yet reached the person making the joke, hence they must have been using Internet Explorer.
-
That computer just threatened you 😓

Except you can't keep the chat log without paying which sucks. Thankfully you can use a bot to remedy that.
