Got two 8" discdrives + a bunch of floppys, all systemmanuals and a whole bunch of S100-cards.
No keyboard & graphics though, so have to connect via serial and use a terminalprog.

I suppose they think I should cut it horizontally in the middle first, then vertically in 4 slices (like a cross) making a total of 8 "equal" pieces.

But are the pieces equal?
A "bottom-piece" of a "standard birthdaycake" would look quite different from a "top-piece" (having all the toppings)

I would agree that they are equal _in size_ but that doesnt make them _equal_

for the cups, take the full cup in the middle (of the full cups) and pour the contents into the empty cup in the middle (of the empty cups) and then put it back...all in one movement.

I have one particular stupid f*ck of a client who keep posting me support emails like these:

"Hey, my customer says that the system doesn't work. Do you have any ideas?"

and EVERY TIME I have to get back to him with THE SAME F*CKING question:

"What is it that is 'not working'? Could you please describe the problem?"

To which he replies:

"Well, they say that there some problem with the reports"

And I reply with:

"What report is this? What problem is it??'

And then we ping-pong back and forth for like 5-10 times with me getting a little bit more information for every iteration...

I once had to hold a 60min tech. presentation for 500+ people and was also very nervous but got some great advice from a colleague who had been serving in the UN-forces somewhere in the middle-east in a previous life. He put things in perspective and asked me:

- (him): "What is the worst thing that can happen?"
- (me): "Well, I forget what to say, start stutter and making a bad performance"
- (him): "Yeah, true. But still, the audience will probably not pull out machineguns and mow you down for it. In fact, I doubt they would even grab & torture you, cutting off fingers, break your arms&legs, electrocute you or anything"
