Hi, I am the programming director of my FRC team from Israel, MisCar 1574. In this competition, the robots operate autonomously for the first 15 seconds scoring points and than for the rest of the match which is 2:15 minutes the robots are being controlled by drivers. Before the Detroit world championship we uploaded a showcase video of our autonomous, we reached a pretty good level and as the programmers we requested a specific song to be used in the video. This song is called in Hebrew "Yam Hashibolim" and it has a meaning to us, this is what we listened to while working hard every night until about 4:30 am in order to do this. But our media team didn't listen to our request even when all the other team members were with us on this. Guess what guys, I'm installing Ubuntu over Arch, because I need change and I just don't give a shit about distro elitism. Like many others, I got my start on Ubuntu (was probably Hardy Heron), and then I have done some hoppin' ever since. I never wanted to go back to plain Ubuntu because you know.., but fuck that, its perfect for what I need on my shitty laptop which I do nothing more than watch shitty livestreams on.

I also need something which looks vaguely caught up to 2019 GUI standards while expending max 13 kcal in the process (already spent a fair share with KDE). The 13 is for deleting the Amazon shortcut.

10 hours ago I was trying to install manjaro on my laptop. I have run into problems with the nvidicancer drivers, as one would expect, but at least I had a working OS. I was following a video tutorial that instructed me to tweak some grub settings, and I was able to do it with no problem.

Now on the other hand, I am following the EXACT SAME procedure (same partition, same installer, same settings),but after I update-grub,everything freezes including the command itself.

How is it possible that doing the exact same procedure at different times of the day gives me two different results? Is my laptop sentient and simply "not in the mood" anymore, or what the fuck?
